Depends on what you do with the $37M, but I wouldn’t be optimistic about Jerry allowing us to sign a big 4 SS.

It saves us $37M and gives you three ready / near major league players plus a semi-interesting catching prospect. Those three players include a potential TOR SP, a high upside LH bat who might be able to play 2B, and an uber athletic LH hitting 4th OF with a non-zero chance of developing into a regular. Not sure what you’d do with the savings at this point though and the reports on Busch’s defense at 2B aren’t great.

Seems like we got a 30% chance to snag a top 6 pick!

What SP2 do you think they are getting? I’ve heard very differently on what their plan is to spend. One of the big four SS, a CF like Bellinger, and a mid rotation SP like Taillon and I actually have a really good source on this.

Pessimistic me says Hahn clears the payroll needed to sign an OF right after all the LH options are gone and he goes with a Sheets/RH FA platoon for LF.

So true. The NFL is absolute blast and that’s what the MLB needs to get to instead of elongated game of chicken between owners & players that happens every other year.
