  1. No one is trading for Lynn? Why would teams not be interested in him?
  2. ???…yes, I must be filled with hate because I think Tony La Russa is an abomination of a manager and feel bad for Sox fans who suffered through a multi year rebuild to end up with this clown show. But hey, I appreciate your concerns over my well being, especially with that much needed ex wife flex.
  3. What’s juvenile about it? Tony La Russa is completely incompetent and is going to cost us a playoff appearance this year due to his giant ego. Glad to see he has one fan though!
  4. What a stupid fucking asshole…I literally hate Tony with all my heart.
  5. Hopefully we can get Colas to join him by season’s end.
  6. I pray that SoxFest is back next year, because we’ll have a chance to finally ask some tough questions. I called out Ozzie years ago about the Mark Kotsay / rotating DH concept he so desperately wanted and would love to put Hahn on the spot in regard to many subjects. Just give us fans a chance if the media is afraid to ask legit questions.
  7. Hendricks’ luxury tax number is $18M this year and next, but if his option is exercised for 2024 doesn’t it become $0 at that point? That could be highly valuable for the right club.
  8. Thinking about this some…just don’t see how a retool would work. The challenge in my mind is we only have Cease & Kopech for another three years and Vaughn for another four years. As such, you’d have to get major league ready players for whatever you trade away at the deadline or the timing just won’t work out as most of our minor league reinforcements are a year or two out at minimum. Not sure what the answer is here. I’d love to see a shakeup with the coaching staff before even considering selling, but that’s obviously not happening until the off-season if ever. My guess is Jerry going to force Hahn to stick with this sinking ship and not make any changes until the off-season regardless. Things could get really ugly down the stretch if the team is this team is 10 games or so out at the deadline and does nothing.
  9. I‘m old enough to remember when we thought this was one of the best teams in baseball before our lifeless, 80 year manager sucked its heart & soul away.
  10. Just need to send everyone down to AAA to relearn how to hit effectively after working with Menechino ?
  11. Looks like Menechino works fast! What a stupid fucking call-up!
  12. Fully agree. Most of these guys are obviously talented, but their approaches just seem poor / outdated. No team should prioritize hitting fly balls more than a team full of 1B / DH types who play at the Rate and yet even our sluggers pound the ball into the ground like crazy. It seems like a change at hitting coach would reap immediate benefits, but these clowns seem 100% committed to Menechino.
  13. Time to send him to Birmingham.
  14. Robert can play defense which doesn’t get “figured out”.
  15. Oh a “righty”…yeah gonna be tough to string together a couple hits against one of those. And unfortunately Menechino’s got some serious blackmail on someone and incapable of being fired.
  16. I’m on the road and unable to watch, but can someone explain to me how we only have one hit so far?
  17. I think Vera could potentially jump those guys by year end, but rightfully or wrongly I punished him some for a lack of full season innings.
  18. With promotions starting to occur and the major league team disappointing like crazy, I thought putting together top 10 prospect lists would be a fun distraction. Here is my top 10 list: Colson Montgomery, SS* Oscar Colas, OF* Lenyn Sosa, 2B Bryan Ramos, 3B Norge Vera, RHP Wes Kath, 3B* Sean Burke, RHP Jose Rodriguez, SS/2B Christian Mena, RHP Matthew Thompson, RHP One note but I really struggled with that #10 spot. To me, the top 9 is firmly established, but you could make an argument for a half a dozen guys at #10. Cespedes & Romy were top 10 guys coming into the year, but aren’t deserving based on their seasons so far. Then you got Yogurt who put up great contact heavy numbers in AA, but has slowed down since moving to AAA. Additionally, an older kid like Simas may be more worthy than Thompson, but I haven’t had the chance to see him pitch this year. Ultimately, Matthew’s secondary numbers aren’t great, but he’s improved vs. 2021 and is a more exciting prospect than the other guys in this range that I’m more familiar with.
  19. Great start for Martin (9 K, 1H, 0 R, 4 IP) and solid start for Dalquist (4 K, 1 BB, 1 R, 4 IP).
