  1. I’m embarrassed to be a White Sox fan right now
  2. Nothing matters until we have a quality NFL QB. That should be the priority, but unfortunately appeasing Eberflus appears to be.
  3. Agreed, but he’s even higher variance than Pickens. I really hope we take Pickens right now and don’t wait until 48.
  4. The offense is about to pop tonight…I had a premonition
  5. 100% agree. Poles needs to add more playmakers or he is setting up Fields to fail. I pray they are able to snag Pickens, but Skyy Moore & Christian Watson also have some ceiling. If we settle for anything less than one of those three then I think Poles has failed in his job. And I’d like to see us add a legit veteran to the mix on top of one of those guys. Pringle should not prevent from adding multiple pieces to our WR room.
  6. Being 3 1/2 games back heading into May with an underperforming and injured team is very concerning. Gonna need the bats to get going or there is simply no hope. The good news is that should happen even without Eloy for a couple months. Pitching is the real problem and not much hope there until Lynn is back. Even then there is no clear #5 starter / rotation depth and we’re an injury away from being right back in this predicament. If we’re serious about competing for a playoff spot, then Hahn needs to acquire a legit starter once one becomes available. Cueto should be viewed as nothing more than a #6 type guy if he even gets a call-up.
  7. What an oddly aggressive post
  8. Late round picks dominating low level hitters don’t excite me unless there stuff to back it up. The same applies to 26 & 25 year olds in AA. I agree pitchers are able to transform in an instant due to velocity increases or repertoire changes, but there are still plenty of guys who are almost certainly org guys. Tanner Banks doesn’t really change that IMO.
  9. All I ask for is George Pickens. He’s a gamble no doubt, but he’s got legit #1 WR upside and you’re getting him at a discount right now. Unfortunately I bet we end up with a low ceiling guy John Metchie.
  10. Also, Dominguez apparently just had TJS so take him off the list.
  11. Honestly, I don’t know enough about the bulk of those guys to say they are legit prospects vs. org guys. With the positional list I tried to filter out the latter.
  12. Early All Prospect Team: Lineup: 1B: Wilfred Veras (A, 19, 109 wRC+) 2B: Yogurt Sanchez (AAA, 25, 165 wRC+) SS: Colson Montgomery (A, 20, 109 wRC+) 3B: Bryan Ramos (A+, 20, 193 wRC+) LF: James Beard (A, 21, 112 wRC+) CF: Misael Gonzalez (A, 21, 148 wRC) RF: Oscar Colas (A+, 23, 128 wRC+) DH: DJ Gladney (A, 20, 108 wRC+) CA: Carlos Perez (AAA, 25, 125 wRC+) Bench: IF: Lenyn Sosa (AA, 22, 142 wRC+) IF: Harvin Mendoza (A+, 23, 114 wRC+) OF: Benyamin Bailey (A, 20, 117 wRC+) BC: Adam Hackenberg (A+, 22, 124 wRC) Was going to do pitching too but not a ton to love outside of Mena and handful of guys.
  13. I think FG is underrating his arm and speed to be honest.
  14. I’m speaking more historically than this particular list, which I’ve only skimmed so far. But in this case, they are publishing their list unusually late so I’d hope it be more current than BA & Pipeline.
  15. I feel like their reports on some guys are very outdated and that completely miss on certain prospects. Just feels like Future Sox, Baseball America, & Callis / Pipeline have better real-time info.
  16. I enjoy seeing their take on things, but I generally view Fangraphs as being the least knowledgeable out of the major publications.
