  1. 67th in 2021 after being 32nd in 2020, which hopefully suggests it’s slowing coming back
  2. Moncada had a 98th percentile average EV in 2019 / pre COVID and was ripping everything at the time. His power has definitely been diminished the last two years.
  3. That’s the thing, I actually think he can be a 2 win player right now with the possibility for more. But thinking he’ll be a 4 to 5 win player based on what we know right now is pretty ridiculous.
  4. Definitely seems that way, but just puts further stress on the rest of the staff.
  5. I will never understand the ill will a portion of this fanbase has against Moncada because he doesn’t play with the fire and passion.
  6. Might be able to load up on more relievers and utility guys!
  7. Unfortunately with Moncada out it puts more pressure on Tony to use Sheets. And I really like Gavin, but weak side platooning Vaugh would be horrible for his development. Let’s hope this is a short term thing and that Tony will rotate Andrew in several spots.
  8. And that would be a major problem for us. Meanwhile, Manaea was excellent last night. Unfortunately, the failures to build a halfway decent farm system are costing us heavily right now.
  9. Cease really needs to go five strong today. After that, it’s bit a terrifying to think we’ll have to rely on Banks, Foster, & Ruiz in some fashion. Offense will also need to show up today.
  10. Jose has been terrible against Mize (SSS but largest on team) and we all know how he performs in cold April & May weather. As such, here’s what I’d go with today: Pollock, RF Robert, CF Grandal, C# Jimenez, LF Sheets, DH* Vaughn, 1B Burger, 3B Garcia, SS# Harrison, 2B This will never happen though and Vaughn is likely riding pine today.
  11. Are we going to see Sheets or Vaughn at DH today? Seems like Vaughn deserves a start after yesterday’s performance. Personally I’d use Gavin for Jose when it’s ~40 degrees out and we’re facing a RHP.
  12. Would be awesome given our obvious need for a catcher in a few years
  13. Big night so far for Victor Torres: 2/2, 2B, 3B, 3 RBI. As a 21 year old catcher who got a $175k bonus and is known for this defense that’s pretty exciting.
  14. Minor League Rule 5 pick Moises Castillo with a HR.
  15. I’m not following here, because the box score looks pretty straightforward.
  16. This Jordan Mikel has struck out six batters in two innings
  17. Ramos sporting the rare 5.000 OPS at the moment ?
