  1. So all their prospects will pan out but none of our young guys will get better?
  2. Finishing this offseason is very simple: Trade Kimbrel for salary relief (don’t give a fuck about the return at this point) Sign Conforto to a 4/$90M deal (don’t give a fuck about Colas or Cespedes) Trade Burger, Dalquist, & Adolfo for Manaea (don’t give a fuck if he’s a rental) Do those three moves and we’re as strong as any team in the AL.
  3. That’s absolute absurd ask for one year of a pitcher of Manaea’s caliber.
  4. Harrison is going to bring that health & defense that Stone Pony alluded!!
  5. Cease was a top 20 starter last year in terms of fWAR…
  6. I believe Burger + Thompson/Dalquist + Adolfo should get you Manaea. That might feel like a lot to give up, but Burger is blocked by Moncada, Sheets, & Vaughn, Adolfo is as good as gone anyways, and Thompson/Dalquist just wild cards. I don’t like overpaying for rentals, but we’ve got to maximize the next three years.
  7. Here’s the thing…it would be really stupid to keep all three of Vaughn, Sheets, & Burger. One of those guys should be used to address a weakness elsewhere since they can’t all get playing time. Up to Hahn to figure out who that is and find a trade partner.
  8. No one credible has said a move isn’t happening though…at least from what I can tell.
  9. I’ll be honest, if Hahn doesn’t complete this roster and it costs us, I pray SoxFest comes back next year and he gets torched alive. That being said, hopefully he does the right thing and it doesn’t come to that.
  10. I really don’t think Jesse Rogers know much of anything.
  11. And then there is this. If we were going with what we have for RF, why not prioritize Miller at 2B at least? Failing to add any left-handed hitting is yet another fireable offense after stating it being a priority.
  12. Manaea is not going to cost that much. Whether Hahn wants to push those chips in remain to be seen, but he has a history of trading for rentals with local ties.
  13. Also, I find it truly fascinating there have been very few rumors in regard to both Conforto Castellanos. No idea what to make of that, but seems odd for high profile Boras clients.
  14. If every leak has a purpose, this is a good way to theoretically put pressure on the Sox FWIW
  15. Let’s be honest, we’re at a franchise high record payroll, the obvious guess is to assume it won’t go any higher. If I were a fake insider, that’s the route I’d go if I’m playing the odds.
  16. Sure, but in that case he could of just said nothing. By saying they are specifically done adding at 2B implies they still plan to add to the offense elsewhere.
  17. Beyond the infamous “smirk” I’ve rambled on about multiple times, Hahn purposely stated they were done with 2B additions after adding Harrison. If they were capped out money wise and had no plans of adding to the offense, why not just say that at that time instead of letting expectations get too high? Also, the other factor that makes me optimistic is how Hahn has talked about Vaughn. Not only has he been mentioned as a possibly of getting some starts at 2B, but Hahn also discussed Vaughn getting time down in Charlotte. The only way that makes sense is if a legit RF is added.
  18. Why do we believe this guy though? This seems like Charles the Cat all over again.
  19. I’ll be honest, I really don’t think anyone has access to the Sox’s financial position. And those few who do would quickly be outed by leaking this stuff on Twitter. I remain optimistic that Michael Conforto will be a White Sox.
  20. I thought Jerry basically had universal control over everything.
  21. Does Heyman paraphrase what the agents tell him or does he just let them write their own tweets on his account?
