  1. Jack - We have a $190M luxury tax payroll right now. We’re already in unprecedented territory. What in the world do you gain being angry about stuff that hasn’t actually happened yet?
  2. It’s been like 36 hours since the offseason reopened and no one relevant to us has been acquired by other teams. Some of you guys are acting like little babies right now. Trust me, I’ll be the angriest person on this board if they do nothing of importance, but I’ll actually wait a week before declaring Hahn has failed us.
  3. I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’ve ripped the front office plenty because they’ve made plenty of bad moves. But unlike you, I also give them credit for building one of the best teams in baseball. And I don’t live in fear of the past and assume because Hahn has made a couple terrible trades that all future trade will be terrible. You seem to want to be miserable right now and that’s your prerogative, but do us all a favor and stop the non-stop shit-posting. You’re better than this.
  4. Is that what I said? Like I tell Jack all the time, take a breather from Soxtalk and go rub one out if discussing a White Sox team coming off two playoff appearances for the first time in like forever is so painstaking for you. You’re garbage posting right now and having to read nonstop bitching & whining is pretty annoying when nothing has happened.
  5. Because our pro scouting was terrible at the time and that part of the organization has gone through massive changes.
  6. What’s funny is not one of the prospects that Hahn gave up in the Shark trade were top 100 prospects, yet everyone here acts like they were surefire stars. It was far from a king’s ransom at the time.
  7. I don’t know what that means and how it relates to Hahn making a trade that would never happen.
  8. Yeah, I don’t see the Reds having interest in any of those three guys, let alone for one of their big three starters. Which pitcher on the Brewers are you thinking?
  9. I don’t see what the Mets have on their major league roster that would interest the Reds.
  10. He spent more time taking about improving the roster and maximizing their chances of winning the World Series in 2022. That quote is annoying, but is somewhat taken out of context and nothing to actually worry about.
  11. We’re worse than the team that got beat up in the playoffs by the Astros. There is zero reason to overreact to what’s happened so far these past two days, but let’s not pretend things are fine the way they currently are. Improvements will be needed.
  12. I can’t stress enough that Hahn is working on a major signing with Boras. When he was asked if there was a GM or player he called first after the CBA was finalized all he said was “Yes” but had this massive dumb grin on his face. Like the dude knows he needs to do his typical lawyer speak and downplay everything, but literally couldn’t hide his excitement about what he’s actually up to behind the scenes. Doesn’t mean we’ll necessarily land a Boras client, but I think the odds are good we end up with one of Conforto & Castellanos.
  13. Boras takes time unfortunately. I’m still maintaining my prediction of Tepera for 2/$10M before midnight. That allows us to pull the trigger on a Kimbrel tomorrow (I still think the Phillies makes the most sense as a trade partner). Once Craig’s salary is off the books, hopefully we can finalize a deal for Conforto and then eventually address the rotation & 2B. I feel like the bulk of moves for all teams will be completed a week from Sunday.
  14. True, better the NL beef up than the AL teams. Olsen to the Braves makes some sense if they lose Freeman. I’m struggling how Schwarber fits with the Yankees though unless they think they can slide Gallon into CF a ton.
  15. GTFO of here with this crap Jack. Like why do you enjoy living this way?
