  1. This is the craziest shit I have ever seen. So awesome that Liam was like “fuck this” and just threw that ball away
  2. Ray - I’ve got nothing but love for you pal, but you do realize that chitownsportsfan has you on block right?
  3. I’m not sure they have a RP I’d target, but they might throw in Kole Calhoun for nothing. He’s currently hurt but should be ready to go near the end of the month and would provide a LH bat and some insurance in both RF & DH.
  4. Go get Eduardo Escobar. Plays a good 2B and helps address the power problem we currently face. Historically he’s hit RHP well, although this year his numbers are down a bit. I’ll attribute that to a small sample size as none of his core metrics look that far off career norms. And he shouldn’t be that costly to acquire, which helps depending what else we want to do at the deadline.
  5. At least with Cease, increasing his spin rate was a stated goal for the offseason involving actual adjustments based on feedback from Katz.
  6. The 2H for Kanny will be very telling. Guys were given aggressive assignments and it should be no surprise the bulk of them are struggling, but it will be interesting to see who actually turns it around in the coming months. I’m still optimistic about the young arms and think at least a couple of positional guys will take major steps forward.
  7. The Sox should immediately move Burger over to 2B in AAA and see if he can be even remotely passable there. Unfortunately, we simply don’t have the assets to add an OF, 2B, & RH setup man, which means we need to start thinking outside of the box where possible.
  8. You offer D-Backs Madrigal plus other things for Marte if you want to get really crazy. Nick is such a polarizing player though so not sure how other teams would view, but there is theoretically some logic to the move.
  9. Krogman 4-4 and Pilkington with a decent reflect the highlights. The corpse of Reynaldo Lopez reflects the lowlights.
  10. I didn’t think so, but they were on a BA Top 100 list I saw a couple days ago. Regardless, we may not have a top 100 prospect heading into the offseason unless Kelley comes back strong, Cespedes finally arrives, or our 1st round pick comes out of the gate incredibly strong.
  11. Not sure if Kopech & Crochet are still prospect eligible, but if not, I can’t imagine there are many worse than ours. The only saving grace right now is Burger & Sheets looking pretty damn good.
  12. It’s going to be hard...the minors are absolutely barren right now. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the worst system in baseball.
