  1. Bad 2021 Cease is night & day different than his 2020 counterpart. Huge development from him this year even if he’s not a finished product.
  2. Why do you think that? It’s still May and few teams would be willing to sell at this point. Even if they have faith in Robert & Eloy coming back, I can’t see how you can expect Eaton to be the answer in RF. They need an upgrade one way or the other IMO unless they really think they can roll with Eloy & Vaughn in the corners.
  3. Portillo’s claims they are looking for one, no way Hahn is going to risk a playoff with Hamilton, Leury, & the ghost of Adam Eaton getting so much playing time.
  4. Not digging the lack of hustle there by Yermin
  5. Exactly...I have no idea what he’ll ultimately be, but he showed enough in April to deserve the benefit of the doubt for now.
  6. He’s a rookie that is adjusting to the league and has kept our offense alive for the first chunk of the season. Your hatred for him is very bizarre.
  7. Not blaming Tony for this, but damn is that bottom three ugly tonight.
  8. Ricky was a shitty in-game manager, but he eventually listened to the front office and started leveraging shifts while eliminating bunting. Tony has already done those advancements and is too stubborn to change his ways. Ricky was also from most accounts a great clubhouse guy. All that being said, I was ecstatic when Ricky got fired because I thought almost anyone would be better with the in-game stuff. Unfortunately, that turned out to be untrue and Jerry forced a far greater evil on us. I never imagined in a million years that Tony would have been this bad of a tactician but alas he’s a complete travesty.
  9. I didn’t call you dumb, I said your argument was dumb. I fully disagree with the notion we can only evaluate a manager based on results. We don’t have access to every piece of info they do, but we see enough on a day to day basis to judge them on their decision-making process and not just the outcomes. As for the clubhouse stuff, that’s admittedly much more challenging to evaluate as a fan. However, when things aren’t going well in the clubhouse there oftentimes can be tells. As I said previously, there have been multiple reports of clubhouse tension centered around Tony. We also saw his team publicly acknowledge they tune him out and at least one player was liking negative comments about him on Twitter. The odds of Tony magically bringing all this chemistry to the clubhouse despite all that is incredibly low. Ultimately this is a highly talented roster and we will win a ton of games regardless of who the manager is. IMO, we are winning in spite of Tony and the evidence of that is clear of day if you actually watch the games and follow the team closely.
  10. This is just straight up dumb. We all watch the games and can point to numerous things Tony has done wrong this year. We don’t need to be in the clubhouse to witness poor in-game decision making. Also, there have been reports of some clubhouse tension as result of Tony beyond the public ripping of a top rookie. You keep using “decades of experience” as a free pass for him to whatever he wants and it being ok, which is also incredibly dumb given how much the game has changed since he last managed. Tony La Russa is objectively a bad manager at this stage of his career. Unless you can cite some actual good things he’s done, then please stop defending him because your current defense is quite embarrassing.
  11. Marshall & Ruiz are out of options, so Foster is probably more likely at this time. That being said, it wouldn’t be a bad time to send down Crochet and get him some actual innings. He’s on pace for ~43 innings this year which means there is zero chance he‘ll be a starting pitching option until 2023 at the very earliest.
  12. I’m peacing out before I blow up...pray Kopech is alright though
  13. Let’s have him prove himself against RHP before we talk about moving him up in the lineup.
  14. Huge to stop the losing streak at three. Now we just need Giolito build up some momentum and make this two in a row. Flaherty is going tough as hell though.
