To be fair, when I called Hamilton the 2nd best hitter on the team I was simply mocking the other hitters in the lineup. Dude hasn’t been above a 78 wRC+ since his rookie season, so me being not overly excited about his inclusion in the lineup is not a meatball take.

He’s got to be...sprinkle Collins in there against RHP, but I think you give Yermin most of the rope at this point.

Yoan goes stretches like this all the time and will be fine with time, but he shouldn’t be batting 4th right now and especially not against LHP.

The Sox definitely need to add left-handed bat with some defensive versatility to the bench between now and the deadline. Brad Miller would have been a nice fit, but unfortunately that would set us back way too much financially.
