  1. Why do you think that story exists? Because KW wanted it out there and used his go-to guy Bob Nightengale to release the story. This isn’t very difficult to understand. Given the three headed monster currently leading this organization, it’s really hard to say with certainty that Rick Hahn was or was not aligned with the situation. But either way, calling out KW was because he was the mouthpiece here. If you what to blame the entire front office I don’t really care. Releasing this story was completely ridiculous regardless of who to blame. And if Vaughn wasn’t going to be ready to contribute, then sending him down to Schaumburg for two weeks probably made the most sense since it wasn’t likely going to cost us a playoff spot. I don’t particularly agree with that sentiment, but going half in is really dumb IMO.
  2. Where is Hahn’s name in that story? Maybe actually read the actual article instead of going on your typical Rick Hahn witch-hunt.
  3. I accused him of this before the season given the the complete hypocrisy of it unless you don’t recall Robert & Jimenez being held hostage into signing extensions. It’s simply dumber now when he’s going to have sat two of our first four games. We only needed him down for about two weeks to gain an extra year of control. But hey man, keep up the good fight, wouldn’t want the front office to be held accountable for any of their BS.
  4. Reasons for optimism, the defense can’t be this bad going forward and the bullpen won’t cough up games like this. If the rotation, in particular Cease, can be strong then the rest will follow.
  5. When things go bad? I’m referring to a USA Today story that was published BEFORE the season that includes actual quotes from the KENNY WILLIAMS. But thanks for the uninformed accusation! https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.usatoday.com/amp/4801933001
  6. We are burning a year of control of Vaughn for what, maybe eight starts potentially? Glad KW felt compelled to use this as opportunity to puff up the org’s ego and pretend that the Sox don’t manipulate service time.
  7. Nope, a must start game for Hamilton instead. Absolutely disgusting they are giving starts to a guy who should do nothing more than pinch run and be a defensive substitute.
  8. Let’s say you’re right, what’s the plan for 1B, LF, & DH come 2022?
  9. The lineup isn’t bad against RHP, but losing Eloy really hurts there. It really depends on which version of Jose & Moncada we get. If those guys are closer to their 2020 & 2019 form respectively, we’ll still be pretty dangerous. Collins or Yermin stepping up would definitely help though.
  10. The way too premature question is if Yermin is the real deal, how do you solve the LF, 1B, DH logjam? Still a long road ahead before that even possibly becomes a problem, but definitely a fun problem to think about.
  11. How will Lamb & Hamilton be here all year? The former is likely gone as soon as Engel is back.
  12. Ricky was terrible at bullpen management and if you watched us choke away a division title last year while he had Ruiz pitching in high leverage situations you wouldn’t be make this ridiculous argument. And I say this as someone who just called Tony out for going with Marshall over Bummer, which isn’t nearly as egregious as some of the moves you & Ricky made last year.
  13. Why in the world do you want Leury in the lineup against, let alone batting 6th???
  14. Which is why losing Eloy is so tough, because he was one of our few RH hitters that are still really good against RHP.
  15. That’s twice in three games. Maybe La Russa doesn’t know what splits are, but Leury sucks from the left-side
  16. I don’t understand why Leury is ever batting in the 9th when we are losing and there is someone on the bench who can play his position.
