  1. Just an FYI, but I think he has four years of control left.
  2. We are broke...we aren’t taking on Blackmon’s contract. Hell, we probably can’t afford Marquez’s $7.5M salary without Uncle Jerry declaring bankruptcy.
  3. Yup. Teams that claim they are trying to win a championship don’t go into the season with Dylan Cease (6.36 FIP) and Lopez (7.63 FIP) as their #4 & #5 starters. They also don’t rely on a kid who hasn’t pitched in 875 days and who is a bit of a head case to be their only major league pitching depth. I’m still optimistic about Stiever, but he has 6.1 innings above A+ and probably needs another full year in the minors. Crochet doesn’t really factor into the rotation mix at all this year. Lambert looks like he will be a reliever going forward. That means we’re going to see a lot of Flores or whatever reclamation projects we sign to minor league deals (Folty) when injuries occur and that sounds fucking fantastic.
  4. What are you talking about? He said that Jerry can’t hold the seat unless he’s making the board happy and that’s not true.
  5. They literlally can’t unseat him from what I hear
  6. Thanks for posting but wow is that terrifying.
  7. He basically has complete control of the White Sox and his partners can’t do much about it.
  8. How about one nine figure deal in our lifetimes? Is that really asking much?
  9. Fuck Rick Hahn for thinking that signing Hendriks over another starter ever made sense...happy now? ?
  10. Those are examples of two of the largest expenditures in franchise history and that’s beyond embarrassing. But hey, tell me Jerry isn’t cheap when Cease & Lopez are our #3 & #4 starters come June when one of our starters go down.
  11. ?...at least we now know Jerry’s burner account
  12. Isn’t Bridgewater signed to a multi year deal?
  13. Does he really off the better glove at this point?
  14. Not against RHP (which is all that matters) and it’s not even close.
  15. Come on man, we’re good because we traded away a bunch of talented assets and signed a couple Cubans. Go look at our list of biggest free agent signings and tell me Jerry isn’t cheap.
  16. You just lost your own argument. We don’t need a RF who can’t hit LHP (plus we have Engel), we need one who can crush RHP. And Joc has been way better at that than Eaton historically.
  17. What a fucking joke...this front office is clueless
  18. They could be great if one of Cease or Kopech develops into a front-line starter.
  19. I don’t buy the Sox lost a lot of money at all. Where are these losses coming from? Even a third of their TV deals would cover the bulk of their prorated payroll expenses. The stadium is more or less free without any attendance. Yes, they paid some front office workers and minor leaguers for a portion of the year, but I can’t imagine the losses were that massive. Forbes estimates their total non player expenses in 2019 was roughly $100M and a ton of those would have to be park related. Maybe I’m missing something though, but I’d wager the actual loss to be minimal. The problem is the Sox lost any operating profit they typically pocket and Jerry must not like that.
  20. I blame some of that on Reinsdorf loyalty, probably wasn’t easy to cut the cord with Coop.
  21. If Gioltio got injured in spring training, you’re looking at the following: Lynn Keuchel Cease Lopez Kopech / Stiever Holy fuck is that a problem. We’re literally banking on massive improvements from basically all the young guys for us to overcome one major injury to the big three.
