  1. Thank you! I get the anger over this, but demanded Rick Hahn resign from a dream job in his hometown of Chicago is just laughable.
  2. Yup, as long as he doesn’t work for the Sox he can’t find a bar & a car! It’s now up to Rick Hahn & KW to save lives by resigning from their front office positions!
  3. Stop with this bullshit dude. Tony La Russa can drive drunk whether he’s a member of the Sox or not, so stop trying to assign blame for his shitty actions to people who have nothing to do with his off the field behavior.
  4. I guarantee you Reinsdorf knew about this in February and simply doesn’t care.
  5. No offense, but this is pretty ridiculous. If Rick Hahn was going to resign, it would be over the fact he was undermined by Jerry, not because a douchebag with a drinking problem got a DUI.
  6. I think Jerry doesn’t care, this is his ride off into the sunset moment and he’s going to ride or die with Tony. This won’t change anything IMO.
  7. La Russa just trying to take the spotlight and pressure off the team!
  8. Did whoever created that fake Nightengale account think he was creating a Bruce Levine account?
  9. Yeah, was trying to squeeze Kluber or Quintana, but the dollars were too big given the $150M cap I set which is very ambitious to begin with.
  10. It could be, but I think two top 50 prospects is in the realm of possibility.
  11. I assumed your comparison to Quintana was more around stuff. My point is Marquez has much better than Quintana ever did.
  12. Let's just get crazy for a second and say you have $150M payroll to work with this offseason. If you aggregate all of these rumors, you could be looking at something like the below for 2021. Yes it would suck to lose to Kopech & Madrigal, but that team could be the AL favorite next year.
  13. SSS, but he was the 7th best starter in baseball this year per fWAR. I think you’re underselling him a bit by comparing him to Quintana.
  14. Kopech has five years of control at the moment while Marquez has four. It really depends on what the other pieces are for what you say to be true.
  15. I think the reality is his TJS & opt-out have impacted his ability to pitch a full workload next year and possibly 2022, which doesn’t align great with the early years of our window. By no means do you give him away or trade him below value, but if I can get a guy Marquez for him that could greatly improve our chances of winning these next two years while still have control of him in 2023 & 2024.
  16. If the plan is to add both Springer + Marquez that narrative goes down the drain though. Not suggesting that will happen, but much more open to this kind of trade if it’s supplementing free agent spending.
  17. I really don’t want to give up on both Cease & Kopech though. I know most here are really down on Dylan but I think he could be a pitching coach away from taking that next step. I’d much rather do Kopech + Madrigal and hold onto to both Cease & Vaughn if at all possible. No idea how the Rockies would view Nick though.
  18. 100% Kopech would be involved in a trade for Marquez and I would 100% be ok with that. I just worry about the secondary pieces in all honesty as the Rockies would want a big #2 prospect.
  19. Nope, but it would be awesome if they did ?
