It was a mixed bag for me. I really liked Ian McShane and his character but pretty much no one else. (The Reverend needed way more screen time)... Also it felt like they were rushing through a lot of pretty important plot points very quickly instead of taking the time to set up all the players and their agendas. I think the story line with the son and Mr. Halliburton could be more interesting if they took the time to portray them more positively instead of just throwing them into "THE OBVIOUSLY EVIL" category. Besides the plot there were some really goofy scenes (the hostage rescue, the crown of butterflies at the end, the red bra we were supposed to recognize as belonging to somebody)... So this Empire Total War game is pretty sweet. Pro tip: I know the musketeers have muskets and you know that's super modern for the time period or whatever but f*** that noise. Fix the bayonets and go to town. They do way more damage that way! Downloaded the demo for MLB The Show, any tips for that? I'm pretty sure I've never played a baseball game in ... well I don't think I've ever played one now that I think about it. The closest I've come to baseball is an afternoon in the batting cages at a birthday party back in elementary school. So yeah. Tips are welcome.

Mirror's Edge and Dead Space underperformed. Warhammer Online has fallen to 300K subscriptions. They closed down black box (folded most of them into EA proper) and laid off anyone redundant. They've pushed most of their heavy hitters into next year's holiday season/beyond in hopes of economic turn around helping sales. This includes Bioware's new Dragon Age (looks like a proper Baldur's Gate III without the D&D license) but the reasoning for moving that was to coordinate the PC/Console release (take that, pirates!)... Edit: The Halo Wars demo is up on the XBL marketplace. RIP Ensemble. Edit 2: The Killzone 2 demo for the gamestop pre-orders will be up sometime around 5-6PM EST.

I was really disappointed with last night's episode. Between the Jack/Kate suck-fest it looks like they're playing up the Juliet/Sawyer love angle too, no doubt to culminate into some awkward LOVE RHOMBUS by the time Jack/Kate return to the island (you guys could just become swingers, you know?). Not a fan of Jin being alive either... so what, he's been floating on open ocean for a couple of hours, washed ashore and now looks like Clint Eastwood in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly? It seems like a ham-fisted way of bringing Sun back to the "GOOD" faction vs Widmore's "BAD GUYS"... Let's see where it goes I guess...
