Speaking of excellent movie, has anybody seen Old School? I jsut saw it a couple days ago and thought is was f***in hilarious, but my cousin thought it was crappy and boring... I've been hearing this reaction alot...But these are probably the same dudes who post on all those Movie/tv sites like Aintitcoolnews who hate every f***in movie ever written.

Now people want Koch? People are holding their breath everytime he goes out there. I don't know what to say about tonight..For one, Colon had only given up I think just 3 hits going into the 9th, his pitch count was only in the 80's and Jm really didn't have anyone warming up in the pen..So he was fairly confident he would get the job done, as was I. Any other pitcher on our staff JM would have had the calvery up in the pen and if the leadoff man had gotten on JM would of jogged to the mound and brought in Marte or Koch. But you give Colon the ben of the doubt cause he's proven he gets stronger as the game goes on and he had dominated Bonds and the rest of the line-up..I'm sure he thought he would get out of that inning with a DP or a big SO...just didn't work out. I think JM had just called the pen right as Bonds pitch landed in the stands.. He had Marte and Gordon warming up...not Koch since the game was tied at 4 and JM usually leaves tied sits to Gordon. I'm thinking Manuel thought Marte would be pitching to Marvin Benard, but I'm guessing he knew that Benard would definitely be replaced with Aurila to pinch hit. And it's not like Marte is like Kelly Wunsch, who would do poorly against righties..I think Marte's OBA vs righties was lower then against lefties..I'm pretty sure of that, but don't hold me to it. My point is marte can get righties out just as good as he can get lefties out...He just hung that slider, he made a bad pitch and Aurila was swingin away...But did you expect anything else...We're the most snake-bitten team..probably in history..(seems like it) There is no baseball magic on this team, that's for certain. But if JM had brought in Koch and he blew then we would call him Botch..blah, blah, blah and be asking why he didn't he bring in Marte. Life stinks.........and so do the Sox

As much as I like all your optimistic views, I have to agree with HSC... The season is pretty much done for. What are we, still 5 games under .500? even after 4 ina row, 5 of 6. For us to win the division we're gonna need to be at least 18 games over the .500 mark(90 wins) Do you see this team finishing 18 games over at seasons end? I sure in hell don't. Maybe 10 games over..tops If they play like the team their suppose to be(which is a good team, not great) Even if the Sox won 10 in a row, they would still be only be 1 game over the .500 mark.(including the current 4 game winn streak) I just don't see it happening...unless we have some kind of miracle...like our offense avgs 6 runs a game the rest of the year, our big 3 pitch lights out, and if Garland continues to pitch like he did last night, and our pen lives up to its potential, we may make it to 15 games over the .500 mark.MAY is the key word there But the twins would also have to play butt poor, which isn't out of the question, but I see them playing over .500 albeit maybe not that much over .500, but far enough over that they'll be on a Harley, while we'll be chasing them with a moped. We may be able to see them up the road, but we won't be able to catch up no matter what. What are you gonna do, the Sox dug their own graves.... PS: I'm no math major, so my baseball math up there may be a bit off...but I think I'm pretty close.

I remember a couple of years ago I was looking through the TV Guide. You know how they put stars next to movies in there? Well, "Desperately Seeking Susan was on and had 3 stars next to it while "Shawshank Redemption" had only 2 stars. That's a crime! This is the criteria they use to come to "how many stars" a movie gets. *from the mag itself* Our evaluations are based on a number of factors, including a consensus of leading critics, quality of cast and director, awards earned and box-office performance.
