I'm going to miss Hawk complementing all the other teams' players. He always loved the good players/managers/coaches/GMs on the other teams often more than our guys. He is just a fan of good baseball and I think that fact often gets lost. Sure he rooted for the Sox, but good baseball from either team excited him the most.

Is the plan for Danks, Latos & Johnson to make the team, with Johnson as the mop man who eats 3-4 innings a week when a starter scuffles? If not Johnson, who's the mopman?

Thanks for moving this thread over here- The presence of this thread in the original location just made me want to punch the screen every time i wanted to look at White Sox stuff. I will add that while it's common to write-off athletes as "dumb jocks" or "they should just focus on thier sport and stay out of X,Y or Z", let's not forget that they DO have more skin in the game than the majority of us, and will affect more positive change on this earth than any of us will in our lifetimes. Sure wrong things are said from time to time, but for the most part athletes usually use their position to help. I think we as a people should quit judging them and start helping as well

The Sox are in such an enviable position right now that selling high should be the last thing the FO is thinking. I wonder how many teams wouldn't trade positions with the Sox right now, from the FO all the way down to the lowest minor league ball club. I bet it's less than five. That's how damn good our next decade looks.
