I feel Melky hacks too freely to bat 2, so if Sanchez can see more pitches then I'm all for it. Ideally an opposing starter should always have to throw 10-15 pitches before he even sees Jose- that should be our MO. Then we're dangerous.

Why don't all players shorten their swings with 2 strikes. It amazes me. That's why Dunn was so useless- couldn't play team ball with 2 strikes. I feel like it's a dying art when it should be mandatory.

All I know is the White Sox know exactly what they are doing. This is a FO that has an absolutely amazing record of protecting the health of their pitchers & developing them. I think the FO is aware that they have a AAA team where he could pitch. They know all about Charlotte, where it is, who's on the roster, how much a plane ticket is to send Rodon back there etc. They know this s***. They are CHOOSING to have their most prized & cherished prospect be with the MLB club...against the better judgement of many armchair GMs. Why not trust them?

it's busch-league NL central and it always will be. Teams have zero depth, you can't name half the #2 starters and guys like Ted Lilly, Arrieta, and Jason Hammel become good pitchers and tradeable commodities all of a sudden. Unfortunately, they really don't need much more pitching, becuase it only has to not suck completely.

Love me some Flowers now. Man was that a pro move- good leadership. Rodon's sitting on the bench red-faced about letting the club down, and Flowers throws him on his back and carries him up the mountain. That was more for the teammates IMO, setting the tone, he's our boy.
