I think this is a wise post. Overall, you’d think this group should probably give up less runs than most other bullpens. Unfortunately games are won and lost over 1 run and a guy shitting his pants. In theory though, this group is deep and throws really, really hard.

Who cares though? They have the most talent in the league and it’s not even close really. Look how hard they’ve been fighting health all season. Everyone in the game threads just needs to shut up and look at everything the team is doing through the lens of “we just want all our guys to be healthy in the beginning of October and we have a really good chance”. Nothing else matters. Nothing. No TLR decisions matter. We have 4-5 pitchers who will probably get a CYA vote. Go see if the other teams everybody is scared of would like to have that.

Man not at all. I know I’ve been overdoing it all year about “not worrying”, but really, I’m still pumping that train. We simply have more talent than the other rosters we will face in the AL playoffs. Now that can be obviously be exposed in a short series because of luck/chance but there isn’t an AL team I would trade pitching staffs with. Enjoy the Houston steamroll brother.

There’s a lot of buy-in from the players into this core having a long dominant run. Don’t discount that fact and our FO’s ability to negotiate creative contracts. If he likes it here then he’ll be here. At least I think that’s the case more than the usual common refrain of “Injuries and Boras so it’s a no. See ya.”
