  1. Bunch of posts so far and no apologies for going full priss a few months ago about this.
  2. Holy carp. Engel was choking up amd yanked his hands way in to knock that out. Super impressive, made it look easy. Definitely see him as Trout-lite this year
  3. I’m excited to not be tactically out-managed pretty much ever again. If it happens it’s probably a tip-your-cap or rolled-the-dice-and-it-worked kinda moment. Should be refreshing.
  4. I could see that. No matter what they both do this spring, it’s hard not to see them as complete wildcards.
  5. Me too. Foles or Dalton seem like stiffs that are just gonna get creamed behind this o-line. Yay, a backfoot throw to the sideline completed for 20 yards. That’s about all you could hope for in the Foles starts last year. Gimme Mitch running around in a Mitch-tailored offense. Gimme fast guys everywhere.
  6. I see the box score. Here for the “Rodon should be 5th starter over stupid Lopez. I changed my mind about Lopez since he threw that 2-inning gem over a week ago” takes.
  7. Well wouldn’t we be bidding against 29 other teams in that scenario? Do you really see the Sox offering Lynn the most for 1 year?
  8. Those were some of my favorite rosters and early in my fandom. I started really getting into it in like 1997. I don’t think that system was even close to this current one, especially finished top-end talents. We all know the names. I just think these current guys could turn into legit all stars at like almost every single position on the field. And that’s not even chugging the koolaid. Sipping for sure- chugging, surprisingly not. Agree?
  9. Fortunately we have twice the talent of either of these clubs. In theory
  10. I don’t think Twitter has weighed in yet. Waiting for marching orders
  11. Well in theory...Joc will probably be platooned after a few months of being total garbage against LH. I know they told him he could play everyday, but I bet he ends up platooned. So platoon vs platoon...who you got? I like having Engel as the other half over...checks notes...Cameron Maybin?
  12. Yes he understands the whole concept of being in the batter’s box at a higher level than the average big leaguer. That’s just a fact.
  13. I think the newer MO of the FO is to pounce on everything they can early to lock in some cost certainty. Even if they pay a few extra bucks.
  14. Love this. I thought Lopez was the prize of that trade the whole time. And then Gio went Gio
  15. With all due respect chitown...it’s an internet message board. What could possibly be said that would make you go full bully and block another poster’s existence? Please share an example of something that warrants an ignore. I’m sure 99% didn’t even know that feature existed ?
  16. Just eat a good lunch today and you’ll feel better. Sox are gonna be super good this year. Rejoice!
  17. I agree. I like the angle that JM being good and COVID being both completely unexpected got in the way of Collins
  18. Yes but I think the bridge might be to Adolfo. I have this sneaking feeling that he’s ready right now and may even make the team as a reserve. ASB at the latest. Break-out candidate #1 in all of baseball for me. Burger too
  19. Totally agree. Like look at your offense bro. Yes Dane was a subpar prospect with zero track record. And obviously there was no reason to have any faith in him whatsoever. But still, let the kid try to get through 4 with 4 runs given up or something. It was so dumb
  20. I love pointing to Guillén, Karkovice, Ventura & Lance Johnson as evidence 1994 was maybe the most talented team ever. Cool. Now replace their offensive numbers with Anderson, Grandal, Moncada and Robert ?? People still have no idea what they are about to see. Flush those 20’s and 2000’s Yankees down the toilet. It’s over. This will be the greatest collection of baseball talent the game has ever seen. Our worst players, Eaton & Madrigal, will probably put up a .360 OBP with their eyes closed. I’m actually hoping Adolfo gets the call at the ASB to replace Eaton and puts up a quick .950 OPS
  21. I don’t see any way that happens. He’s too valuable as the secret weapon
