  1. I still think the Padres have a shit offense
  2. How is Dunning a quality controlled player? Where’s the proof of quality? I’ll continue to wait all offseason.
  3. What if the Sox entered the offseason wanting to unload Dunning and sell high on him? What if that was priority number 1- cash him in for a good starter. This assuming that Dunning is going to be a quality starter is completely crazy. Absolutely ridiculous.
  4. After reading the fangraphs article about Hendriks’ contract...if anybody thinks Rick Hahn isn’t the master beast of baseball...please just GTFOH
  5. I’m all about getting his brain in the dugout. I think that would really help everybody. I’m less concerned than most, but I understand the hesitation with adding yet ANOTHER super high risk, super high reward guy to the rotation. We already have that same exact thing with Lopez, Cease & Kopech. Is the combination of those 4 guys enough to handle the #4 & #5 slots in the rotation? I don’t know the answer.
  6. Lol sorry braski. Hey it’s not like I posted a picture of a guy underneath an au jus waterfall or anything like that
  7. Man dude. Born n raised south side. I frickin love my beefs with both sweet n hot, grilled onions, mozzarella n soaking wet with extra juice to dump all over it ?. Call me weird
  8. Predict the gun reading for his first pitch: 93mph triggering the first internet blackhole as Soxtalk collapses in on itself... or something else? ?
  9. I feel like the Sox have always targeted horses. They put a super high value on innings. I do t know anything about Burnes except the IP somebody posted above.
  10. Agreed. I think with the inflation of assets not fully priced into everything yet, now is a perfect opportunity to just go spend cash and also do what you say. To juggernaut or not to juggernaut seems to be the question.
  11. Lol no. His career WAR after like 5-6 years is maybe 5
  12. Yea dude...it’s crazy right? I just bought league pass 2 games ago. I’m really excited to watch them. They lost these last two but man, they have no fear. No nerves in pressure. They look coached
  13. Lol right? I feel like we’re less than 5 years away from criminal farting becoming a real thing.
  14. It’s not weird. Remember, Trump is the most Democrat president in the history of the country and it’s not even close. Remember when Obama was completely owned by the banks and anybody above like level 2 saw how terrible the QE was? Well Trump quadrupled down on that BS. I think he spent 5 trillion this year. Let that sink in. 5 fucking trillion. You think companies care about the Biden regime raising taxes and regulation and stifling business? Fuck no! He’s gonna deliver that $2000! He’s gonna bail out the states! He’s gonna make what trump spent look like an appetizer. Probably 10 trillion in 2021. The money is what matters. Not the social issues or discourse. Don’t get distracted by the capitol, protests etc. and get left behind this time. Your wealth is being attacked. The poor and middle classes won’t be able to afford assets after this. Get equities, assets. Dump your cash. This will be the final Democrat nail in the coffin for the middle class and poor people. I don’t want to see people on here complaining about being left behind in 3-4 years after we win our 3rd championship on a row. There’s still time
  15. If the whole system was nuked and it was up to you to decide the way to educate our humans moving forward...how would you do it? Maybe that would be a fun side thread- not trying to derail the patriots thread here.
  16. Ha you know though, if I had to seriously pick a favorite Trump appointee, I think it would be DeVos. It’s impossible to totally nuke public education off the face of the earth, but damn if I wasn’t rooting for somebody to burn that whole thing down and piss on the ashes. At least somebody was TRYING to do the right thing, kinda.
  17. Actually Madrigal is an extremely high ceiling guy. That’s why he was drafted #4. If he hits his ceiling he’s a ridiculously valuable and unique player that every team would kill to have at 2B. His floor is actually really really low. His floor is this weak-hitting guy who doesn’t really hit for a high average, barely gets on base and has absolutely no power. Ozzie Guillén but even worse. His ceiling/floor is almost unanimously misunderstood. He was a super risky pick for this exact reason. High risk with super high reward potential.
  18. Damnit, I was really rooting for the anarchists to use the Trumpets for cover and turn the whole capitol into a new city. How many chances do you really get to take a dump in the chamber
  19. If he hits a ball in the air above 25-30 degrees he should be punched in the face immediately upon returning to the dugout. So hard he never does it again. His balls above 30 degrees for the year should equal his strikeouts for the year.
