  1. If nothing else you have to see it as him having pretty much no control over his clubhouse. That’s the best outcome- him not being in charge. Worst outcome? Cheater. I’d almost prefer a reformed cheater to a spineless leader. Admittedly, I haven’t read too much on the scandal but it seems like it’s one or the other, no?
  2. This is my gripe too. If you are in charge and you can’t stop your players from cheating...are you in charge?
  3. Is it accurate to say that AJ Hinch was not able to tell his players and coaches to stop cheating?
  4. Based on Stone’s quote, I think there’s been a deal in place for a while now with somebody. Wonder who that is.
  5. Well most people who get infected probably don’t get that sick or even know they carry the virus. That could be what happened. Or it’s a complete con job ego-driven farce from Trump. Both are actually equally likely
  6. I do t think anybody here knows a damn thing about Hinch, how his players played for him, how his in-game managing is, how he uses a bullpen etc. Nobody here knows a thing about it. They just know he sucked in AZ and then had some really good teams in Houston and won a World Series. And we also know they cheated. The rest is speculation, wishful thinking, an anybody-but-RR bias, and hope mixed into a stew.
  7. How is Sandy Alomar an upgrade? Like how do we know that? A few of you have already said that. Why?
  8. This- I don’t think there’s any way to make a breast taste as good as a thigh. Ever check out Herman Lyons’ method on the Weber kettle? I do this every time. Absolute perfect indirect method. I almost feel guilty or unworthy making such damn good chicken ?
  9. Buxton took like 8 years or whatever to finally be good and I still don’t believe it.
  10. I don’t get how people fail to see this. Good post
  11. Oh man! Don’t tell TA7 of my blasphemy I forgot!
  12. His ABs in the playoffs were the best on the team. Crazy.
  13. Stop. The highly paid baseball people who employ the highly paid medical people are doing exactly everything the way they see fit with every player on the team. Assuming anything different is completely insane.
  14. Any fan with an opinion on Cooper should have zero ears listening to that opinion. It means jack shit. Only the front office, coaching staff and players know anything. If he’s still here it’s because the whole of the front office believes in whatever he is saying/teaching. If they didn’t, he would be gone. I had an 80+ yr old hand surgeon reconnect tendons I cut through on a few different occasions. I didn’t even go to the ER the second time and just went to his office. He was perfect and the best doctor I’ve ever had to this day. Hand surgery didn’t “pass him by” in his 60s. I know this is anecdotal but that’s all the news is nowadays. Anecdotal= rampantly applicable/happening everywhere.
  15. Seems pretty obvious that the virus EVENTUALLY is going to kill the same percentage of really really old people in every country. You’ll also have a tiny percentage of unhealthy/unlucky middle-aged people die and a minuscule number of anecdotal deaths/stories among 20-40 yr olds. That’s what this is. The virus is going to take its pound of flesh the same everywhere more or less. It’s each individual’s job to take the necessary precautions. Wanna wait for a vaccine? Well, wait for a vaccine. Personally I feel like college kids should be able to get together and party all they want. 1 out of a million will get sick. Let them get the immunity and be our shields ?
  16. Eh. Turning someone not drafted in the first round into a dominating force at any position is a massive home run for a player development staff.
  17. Well they also created Foster, Fry, Heuer and Bummer out of nothing.
  18. Yea. I’m surprised with how okay I am with the idea of just saying, “Well, bye”
  19. I hope nobody is fired and we add a healthy Kopech and Vaughn next year. Plus another SP. Nomar ALMOST won me over. He took some Badass professional ABs this series.
  20. This is far from over. Robert 516 feet for the lead
