This is what needs to be talked about. You can be damn sure the brains of Washington are all over this scenario. I can’t imagine sanctions are driving this. I’m wondering if there is some back room agreement among some Asian nations driving this, including maybe Russia. The end goal possibly being the demilitarization of the area by the Americans? I dunno. This isn’t the grinch growing a bigger heart, and there isn’t some extreme pressure on Kim forcing this. I’d love to hear speculations, crazy ones welcome.

Our entire system is going to need a promotion. It’s ridiculous. Maybe the answer is promoting most of Charlotte to the garbage can. By far the least interesting team. K. Smith returning actually makes checking the box score more than every 5 days worth it.

Sweet Moses. Is there a chart somewhere that shows Babip compared to exit velocity the last few years? It seems obvious that the guys that hit it the hardest find more holes in the defense but I’d love to look at it nonetheless!

I think it’s fair to be in the middle on Davidson. His great games are great and then he can suck quite a bit as well. So nobody knows if he’s going to be Barry Bonds, Adam Dunn with less walks or Josh Fields.

What about moving him to catcher? Then he can platoon with Narvaez against lefties and play CF when Engel needs a breather. Course that’s assuming Engel and Rutherford are building blocks and then you have to consider Robert. Maybe Micker leap frogs Eloy and solves the problem. You could always use Yolmer at SS til we sign a FA (maybe Arenado??). Assuming Abreu stops hitting and he’s traded for Archer before the decline you got yourself a pretty good 1-2-3 punch with Kopech coming up and good defense with Rutherford/Call as the super subs. It all hinges on Moncada.

It’s just baseball. The FO has not personally wronged any of us. It’s a business and I think they are doing the right thing to make that business a bunch of money in the coming years. If you don’t think our FO is full of competitive MFers, you crazy. I still think Avi will heat up with the weather and we know Abreu will. It’ll get more fun this year. I promise.

Does anybody know why you can’t watch the Barons on MiLBtv? All the other teams work. And Adolfo looks like the best player on the field.

You know, I?€™ve disliked Benetti for all the same reasons but now I?€™m over it. I think it finally just hit me that announcers are just clowns. Clowns there to make you have a good time. I liked the old clown more but it was time for a new clown. This clown clowns around differently than the last clown. Some day we?€™ll get another clown but it really doesn?€™t matter. I love watching the players play the game and no clown can affect that experience one way or another. It?€™s not a position of prestige, or respect- it?€™s a clown show. It?€™s someone you laugh at. Hawk actually got prestige and respect because he was our perfect buddy for so long, almost a family member. But he was still just a clown.

Is there any way to make the first month’s games in southern areas and domes? Or does it just become completely unfair after a week or two
