dyuen replied to The Ginger Kid's topic in Pale Hose Talk
we dont want him -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 25, 2011 -> 07:48 AM) I really doubt the Sox are willing to give up something for him. they are not
-
QUOTE (Papa Tru @ Aug 24, 2011 -> 11:44 PM) grapefruit is disgusting, how about an orange? oh i agree, really hate grapefruits, but if it meant getting rid of dunn i would make the sacrifice
-
QUOTE (Papa Tru @ Aug 24, 2011 -> 11:19 PM) I would trade Dunn to Florida for Mike Stanton i would trade dunn to florida for a grapefruit
-
QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 24, 2011 -> 12:50 PM) If Thome has a no-trade clause, he should deny a trade to the Sox. Absolutley no good reason to come to this team. sox are not trading for thome

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 21, 2011 -> 11:59 AM) Watched "Splice" last night, starring Adrien Brody. I liked the idea of the film but pretty poor execution. I think 85% of the budget went to special effects and the remainder went to signing Brody. The script and supporting cast were lousy. when he had sex with that creature it made me uncomfortable

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 11:25 AM) Anyone do Pandora Radio? I just started playing with it. Is it worthwhile? I like it. It does repeat songs but it is kinda cool just to plug in random bands and see what songs it comes up with. We actually used it a lot around Christmas times for a variation on holiday music.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 11, 2011 -> 02:17 AM) Okay guys, who do you want to trade or "dump" to clear enough salary to sign a leadoff hitter? Someone will have to go. Danks? Not sign Buehrle? Quentin? Floyd? Thornton? of those guys, easily thornton

QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Aug 10, 2011 -> 09:08 PM) At least we didn't lose any ground to the Tigers tonight. If we keep winning 5 out of every 6, we'll still win this division going away. Sure and the likelihood we keep winning 5 out of 6 is about 100000 to 1

QUOTE (TitoMB @ Aug 10, 2011 -> 04:25 PM) Wait.. they don't refund money if the team misses the playoffs? it gets applied to next year
-
Just got an email that the postseason invoices are being mailed out. This latest tease is going to cost season ticket holders a lot of money!!

QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Aug 10, 2011 -> 10:13 AM) Is this based off the rare flip-o-rama, or the classic 1919 silent film accompanied by piano music? haha i like the piano music its based on Eight Men Out. none of those hollywood clowns could hit it when he was actually trying to win

QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Aug 9, 2011 -> 05:29 PM) Even better than the 2005 Bobby Jenks Uncle Charlie? I don't think anyone hit that pitch that year I am going with Bob James hook. And Eddie Cicotte's knuckleball.

QUOTE (Pale Sox @ Aug 9, 2011 -> 02:18 AM) I've never met KW, so I can't say for sure. But he's had as many hits as misses. He let's his stubbornness and ego get in the way of smart decisions. AA is unbelievably humble. He'll discuss potential deals with everybody from his assistant GM's to his scouting coordinators, to his interns. He receives and genuinely considers information from every possible qualified person. This is likely the main thing that gives him a leg up on KW. I also think have a hard time believing KW has the same work ethic. This is a man that was on the phone discussing offers to Aroldis Chapman (which I was involved with) minutes before walking down the aisle with his bride to be. He's an absolute machine. KW is definitely a very hard worker. But not humble.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Aug 8, 2011 -> 08:43 PM) Lillibridge at first means they lost the Dh. Plain nonsensical move by Guillen. you would prefer dunn at 1b?

Ozzie throws Lillibridge under the bus, spares Rios

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 03:39 AM) “I mean tip your hat to the other guy. I thought he had some good swings early in the game, he just missed the ball his first at-bat (by 1/32nd of an inch according to Harrelson, so so so tired of that excuse for Dunn's hitting this season, like there should be a category for "just missed it, hang whiff 'ems"). It just didn't work out.” Read more: http://www.dailyherald.com/article/2011080.../#ixzz1Tnx6YLdp i hate when people say that. you miss every pitch by 1/32 of an inch. how can you make contact if you miss it by more? -
QUOTE (Real @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 08:05 PM) i think we are gonna witness the brian bruney experience tonight i was at the game saturday night and i never want to experience it again
-
QUOTE (kapzk @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 07:58 PM) I thought Peavy was gonna be so deadly when he came to White Sox cuz he would actually have an offense this time, and not get a no decision for his usual shutout or 1 Er he gave. But man who was I kidding, Sox offense is worse than the Padres imagine watching this offense in petco
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 07:54 PM) At least we can avoid the shutout. Maybe. Has Morel seen more pitches than half our lineup? no and yes
-
QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 07:48 PM) Look he was a great pitcher and freak injuries happened. Its pretty obvious to why he is pitching like this. His body is just destroyed. well we just have to agree to disagree it is pretty obvious that he was never a great pitcher for us even before the injury
-
QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 07:42 PM) I think someone already answered this for me a few posts up. even with those few good outings his era was still over 4.6 so consider me unimpressed
-
QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 07:37 PM) You think that if Jake Peavy wasnt injured he would be pitching like this? yes do you remember the first 2 months last year?
-
QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 07:26 PM) You think him being injured had nothing to do with it? i dont think it has anything to do with how he is pitching now and he wasnt that good before it with us last year
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 07:21 PM) Can Peavy just retire. He has to be one of the worst starters in baseball someone will blame it on ozzie or his "freak injury"
