  1. I think this loss is going to put a few people here in the penalty box here on soxtalk...
  2. I'm listening on the radio and the stadium sounds EMPTY. I guess fans there have had enough of this s***.
  3. Okay for real now... is Thornton hurt or something?

  5. soxtalk.com about to go into full meltdown mode in 3... 2... 1...
  6. Don Cooper is going to commit murder at Coop at the Cork. Maybe it'll be Rongey.
  7. Turn a triple play, then let's go have a f***ing snack...
  8. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 03:36 PM) Bobby must be chuckled his lard ass off somewhere right now. Our bullpen is just comical. I can only laugh now when I see this meltdown day in and day out. Yeah until his fat ass looked at his team's 2-9 record... Oh for f***s sake how about a 1-2-3 for a change??
  9. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 03:22 PM) Who is the best call for the 9th??? You gotta let Matty Ice get in and get a 1-2-3 to calm the masses (and himself) down.
  10. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 02:45 PM) And the Twins are getting pummeled. Dude that avatar is so full of win it's not even funny.
  11. Damn I love walk off blasts like last night.
  12. TCQ about to get medieval on them b****es tonight. He's due.
  13. Santos sure is looking like a closer. A FILTHY closer at that. So much bad ass-ery.
  14. Eh... Oh well.. TRU can bring it and I'll be counting down the days until Taraji goes back up. More importantly, the Sox get to keep Milledge and he gets some ABs and time in the field to improve. I think if the guy can put it all together, he can be a valuable asset to the Sox.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2011 -> 03:01 PM) Ahem... I was hoping that was overlooked...
  16. QUOTE (103 mph screwball @ Apr 12, 2011 -> 10:01 AM) I'm not ready to give up on Pierre just yet. Errors happen and he doesn't have a history of making too many. He has made some catches that other would not have gotten to. He is not hitting the way everyone would like him to yet, but he is having a better April than last year and with Morel, AJ and Ramirez getting on base, he has even had some nice RBI. Get him a little rest, change the steal sign, and cheer for him to put the errors behind him. This is what I'm saying. JP will be fine. Errors happen and his just happened when the game was on the line. Plus I think the wind had a lot to do with him missing that fly ball last night. Let's not go in to full meltdown mode yet. Let's be thankful that we're not Redsocks fans.
  17. QUOTE (Tex @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 03:48 PM) I thought this would be an appropriate thread for this . . . Anyone missing Bobby yet? Nope. Hell no.
  18. Braden comes across as a loud mouthed punk. I hope the Sox bomb him and send him to the showers around the 3rd inning. Then wear that bullpen out for the rest of the series.
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 08:00 AM) I'd trade Edwin Jackson for Dan Hudson By the end of the year you're going to want to retract that statement. I'm hoping the Sox get a contract extension worked out with Jackson.
  20. I too believe that Santos is the closer of the future. The only thing I worry about is if he'll wear out down the stretch towards the end of the season. But I think he has the "bad ass" mentality to be a closer. Thornton and Sale look and act like cream puffs in comparison.
  21. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 8, 2011 -> 08:05 PM) It's been a min since we've heard some Juan Pierre hate.. anyone? *crickets* As it should be. JP is the man.
  22. I wonder if he gets in the hall of fame after he's dead and gone? I bet Palmiero does. I have a feeling all of the steroid users will, they just won't live to see it.
