QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Oct 26, 2010 -> 02:43 PM) What value does Flowers have left to other teams? Why trade the one good, young bat that you have ready to be in the majors now? Because he has a cement glove and can't catch a cold??

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 26, 2010 -> 02:10 PM) I like it. I don't think the Sox would go into the season with a catching tandem of Flowers/Castro, so I wonder what this means for Tyler. Always good to have Thornton in the bullpen. Good luck to Torres. I bet Flowers and Viciedo are both used as trade bait to fill in some of the holes.

QUOTE (CaptainKonerko @ Oct 26, 2010 -> 10:27 AM) It was early this morning on ESPN Classic, i woke up at 6 to a tornado warning and once it passed, started flipping through channels and watched the game from the fifth inning. I'll never get bored when it comes to re-watching that series My girlfriend bought me the entire 2005 World Series on DVD a few years ago. It is the best gift I've ever gotten in my adult life. It's unbelieveable how much mileage I get out of those DVDs. Man, I want the Sox to be good like that again.

QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Oct 26, 2010 -> 09:57 AM) I could name every person in that dorm room with me, the first person I hugged and the exact phone call to my dad. I want more championships. The future is somewhat bleek.... No it isn't. Well, I don't think so. The future looks bleaker (is that a word?) for our crosstown rivals on the north side. Sure, things aren't perfect, and we have a lot of holes and work to do in the off season. But I wouldn't say things are BLEAK. We won 88 games last year with out our ace and without a DH. There's a good chance that things could fall into place next year, and we could have something special again. I mean, who predicted what happened in 2005 before it happened?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 22, 2010 -> 02:22 PM) I may as well post a memory or two here...This one starts for tomorrow...(might need to play in Windows media, for some reason winamp can't read this file any more). Farmio made that call? Where was Rooney? Taking a pee break? That kinda sucks. Man it's a good thing Hawk wasn't working the post season. He would have had a coronary or would have regurgitated his freaking voice box.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 10:01 AM) I don't think the disparity in pitching is large enough for the Giants to win this. The Rangers have a potent offense, the Giants have Buster Posey. BTW... doesn't Buster Posey make Brent Lillibridge look like middle aged? Geez, what is he, like 14? He looks like it. Talk about a baby face...
-
LET'S GO GI-ANTS, LET'S GO!!! Clap. Clap.
-
I hope the rangers get swept in the World Series. f*** nolan ryan.
-
Yeah Dave Robertson sucks too.
-
Phil Hughes is garbage. I hope he never gets to wear a White Sox uniform.
-
Wow... Joe West was the ump? I wonder if Crede will ever make it back to the big leagues again...
-
Man I don't have a good feeling at all about Peavy going forward. I hope I'm wrong. I really do.

QUOTE (kapkomet @ Oct 19, 2010 -> 10:10 PM) I wish the Sox played this smart... tagging up and taking second with 2 out, etc. LOL I swear I was driving in my car when this play happened and I WAS THINKING THE EXACT SAME THING!!! Man I have to admit... I am shocked. The rangers are making the yanks look like amateurs. Josh Hamilton is a freaking maniac. Oh well...CC goes in game 5, right? He better come through.
-
Ryne Sandberg is going to get the Brewers manager job, bring a lot of Cub fans up north (Miller Park is only 90 miles from Wrigley), and manage the Brewers to the World Series before the Cubs even get close. That would be freaking hilarious.
-
I know the Ryne Sandberg fans are pissed...
-
QUOTE (zenryan @ Oct 18, 2010 -> 10:15 PM) I hate the Rangers, but that ain't even right...
-
Lol whoever number 30 is for the yanks (I have no idea who it is because they don't have names on the backs of their jerseys - yet another reason to hate them), sucks.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 18, 2010 -> 04:02 PM) That feeling might be something else. You might want to go see a doctor. Right. Cliff Lee made the yanks look like a$$holes tonight. Dude is money.

QUOTE (G&T @ Oct 18, 2010 -> 08:11 PM) I just had to look that up because it made no sense to me. For anyone wondering: Due to an extended player strike in the middle of the 1981 season. The season was divided into two halves with the first and second half champs facing each other in a divisional round prior to the league championship series. Haha you're not the only one who had to look that up.
-
I got a feeling that Lee goes down tonight...
-
Wow. Mike Fontenot sucks.
-
Ball game. Giants up 1-0. Brian Wilson don't f*** around.
-
This Brian Wilson dude looks PISSED whenever he comes into the game. It's like he's offended when opponents think they're gonna score. I like that in a closer. Plus that beard is EPIC!!!

QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Oct 13, 2010 -> 09:37 AM) What can I say... I hold grudges. Plus I'm not the biggest nolan ryan fan either and I'd hate to see the both of them sitting there celebrating a trip to the world series. Go Yankees. That game last night was AWESOME! Okay, so first there was this: ...but then later on is was THIS: SHOCK AND AWE..... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I love baseball....

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 15, 2010 -> 01:20 PM) Aren't they pretty much that with a well rested Roy, Oswalt, and Hamels? Oswalt, Mr "I won't accept a trade to the White Sox", is a p****. I love how the Sox punked him out and put 5 on his punk ass in the 5th inning of game 3 of the 2005 World Series. That was great.
