  1. Just upgraded to the iphone 4 from iphone 3g. Sweetness all over. For those of you who are asking whether they should get an iphone or a droid phone, consider this: The line at every apple store and everywhere else that sells the iphone is a mile long today. How many lines have you seen for ANY other phone before?
  2. I saw Beckham strike out in his last ab last night. He looks like a defeated man. Is he having confidence issues? Sending him down might destroy the little confidence he has left. What happens if he sucks in AAA too? I know I was jokingly calling him Mike Caruso, but wow... this has a chance to be an epic failure if he doesn't start righting the ship. I mean the guy was talked about being traded straight up for Adrian Gonzalez last year... and a lot of Sox fans said no way to that. Now he can't hit over .210?
  3. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 09:52 PM) You can't change it, it has won us 7 straight. Gotta keep the mojo going...
  4. Who was that dude with the facial hair talking to Freddy Garcia in the dugout?
  5. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 09:34 PM) Linebrink FTW LOL somebody on here made a joke last year about Linebrink going on the DL for a strained neck after twisting around too fast to watch one of his pitches was launched. I wish I would find that.
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 08:55 PM) Mets laying it on the Tigers, 11-2 and threatening for more with the bases loaded and it's still the fourth. 4-3 Brew Crew over the Twins still into the bottom of the 5th. I wouldn't feel comfortable if those f***ers were down 10 runs in the bottom of the 9th with no one on and 2 outs and 2 strikes on the batter... not after that Phillies debacle this weekend. I was listening to that game when they scored 5 freaking runs in the 9th to tie it. Jim Thome hit a bomb off of Contreras in that game. Then Ross Gload homered off of Jon Rausch to tie it. And the Twins STILL won.
  7. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 08:36 PM) Thats a good question to which i have no definitive answer but I'll guess yea it would be an out since he's in possession of the ball. Ah but don't you have to have definite control of the ball? I mean the runner is safe if the ball is bobbled, right? How can the infielder be in control if he doesn't even realize that he has the ball? Hmmm... Where's Buck Showalter when you need him?
  8. I work with a Twins fan. I wanna punch him in the face even more than the annoying Cubs fan that lives across the street from me.
  9. Okay silly question: So let's say there was a force put possible. Is the runner out if the infielder steps on the base while the ball is lost in his shirt?
  10. See ya Hanson. Thanks for playing. Come back real soon now, ya hear?
  11. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 08:27 PM) Q with the facial hair blast ! I loled.
  12. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 08:07 PM) Fear the mighty Kotsay's BASERUNNING! Fixed...
  13. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 08:01 PM) Yeah, 6"5' and 170 or something... Seriously somebody needs to feed Chris Sale. Constantly.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 02:46 PM) Wow are Jurko and Harry two ugly human beings. And sadly, their show sucks. ESPN 1000 hasn't been the same since 2006 when the Sox left them.
  15. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 12:58 PM) I hope you were asking that same question in 1997 when Kenny gave up just 3.5 back. EDIT: And chasing 1 team. Wasn't that Ron Scheuler?
  16. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 10:34 AM) I said this at the beginning of this year and its showed not to be a dumb statement, I love Omar in the 2 hole and wish he could stay there the rest of the way. If Dayans/Morels not ready id actually prefer Omar over Teahen (with the way mark was swinging the bat this year). When does Mark come back??? if its before the deadline any chance we see him dealt? I don't know if Omar can play every day at his advanced age though.
  17. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 10:06 AM) His numbers are boosted by a great April and May and he's come down a lot since. He's also a career .270/.374/.422 hitter in the first half while just a career .246/.355/.381 hitter in the second. This is good?? I don't know if I agree with this either. I don't think he'd be light years better than Pierre. I know Pierre has been bad, but he has actually started to show a little life. And I love that he's a base stealing threat (Fukodome isn't that much of one). Pierre gives provides distractions to opposing pitchers whenever he gets on base. Plus, Fukudome would probably go through a bad bad adjustment period moving form the NL to the AL. No thanks. I thought he TURNED DOWN more money from the White Sox to play on the North Side when he was a free agent coming from Japan. Was this true?
