  1. First pitch... it's been a loooong offseason. Thank God it's here.
  2. Man why the hell am I not there? I had the chance to get tickets too. I HAD them... but I didn't pull the trigger. Dammit!!!
  3. What are they doing with Jake Fox? Is he part of the big club? If so, is he starting?
  4. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Mar 31, 2010 -> 11:18 AM) Cmon Kenneth, blackout is gonna lose all its intensity now. Blackout games should be reserved for MUST WIN games. I hope they don't wear it out. I was there at the play in game in 08. Blackout games have POWER. I've witnessed it first hand. I was there screaming at the top of my lungs "THIS AIN'T THE DOME B**HES!!!" And like Peter Parker's Uncle Ben says... "With great power comes great responsibility". We must not misuse the power of the Blackout...
  5. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 31, 2010 -> 08:07 AM) This could be a PHT topic, or an ALC topic, but I put it here. Where do you think the teams in the ALC will finish this year? You can provide win totals and/or games back if you'd like, but its not required. Here is my wild ass guess... 1. CHW 2. MIN -3 3. CLE -5 4. DET -9 5. KC -16 Sox win the division because the big question marks - Rios/TCQ/Pierre/Jones - mostly do well, and the pitching is as expected. MIN doesn't do nearly as well offensively as people think they will in the new stadium, adjusts and makes a run late, but falls short. CLE surprises, but are erratic, with their young talent. Detroit is mediocre, and KC just can't get anything going. Yours? I hate to piggyback but I think you're spot on. I think Cleveland will be a lot better than people think and they will give teams in the AL Central fits all year.
  6. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Mar 23, 2010 -> 10:42 AM) Chicago media lives for this stuff. Unfortunately. Now I know why I had mixed feelings about an MLB "reality" show about the Sox. This is starting to remind me of Jersey Shore. Please make it stop. Please just go away.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 23, 2010 -> 12:08 AM) I know it means nothing, but I hope Anderson does well with KC. I don't want him to beat us, but I always liked him. I agree. It's a shame to waste that CF defense. I really wish someone here could have gotten through to BA and taught him how to hit. He would have been star.
  8. Everyone was so in love with MT when they started reading his tweets...
  9. Right size wrong shape Retherford... Game over... No wait... EXTRA INNINGS!
  10. Man they just came over The Score 670 and said they had "Breaking White Sox News"... I got all excited... then they announced that Ozzie will not be allowed to launch his own website. I got all excited for nothing.
  11. You know... one of these days somebody important is going to blow out a knee or suffer some other disasterous injury running as fast as they can on a routine pop up or ground out....
  12. It's kinda creepy seeing Quentin smile and laugh... like somebody is going to die next.
  13. Hey you guys with MLBTV... is the pic this bad??
  14. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 05:03 PM) That's it -- we just have to prove everybody wrong," Justin Morneau said of the shirt's message. "No one is picking us to win [the American League Central]. Look what Detroit added, they got better after having a good year. Cleveland is going to be good again. Kansas City is going to be a lot better -- they are going to surprise some people. Chicago has that lineup and that ballpark and they can hit with anybody. I think it's going to be a battle. But no one really ever picks us to win." wrong, wrong, look at what they lost wrong, they were good last year? wrong, its the rotation, and wrong, they get a lot of praise and people choose them a lot. idiot Yet another reason to hate the twins... I think I hate them about as much as I hate the dead sawks. Morneau is a tool.
  15. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Mar 5, 2010 -> 09:12 AM) I am also becoming a fan of Teahen... I am becoming a fan of your avatar. Go Steelmen.
  16. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 04:47 PM) Well, it seems A is my only option. It sucks being a college kid and not even having enough money to comfortably buy a cheap AM radio..... You can't afford a $5 radio? Miss a meal. Don't put so much gas in your car. Trust me, it's worth it to hear Farmio wax poetic about golf and butcher players last names. Man I sure do miss John Rooney.
  17. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 04:40 PM) Well this blows. I don't feel like sitting in my car to listen to the game...... You can: A ) Find a cheap lil transistor radio. They have them at Walgreens for under $10 B ) Buy MLB At Bat for $14.99 if you have an iphone or another smart phone running Android Or C ) Wait to watch the replay tonight on MLB Network I know. It sucks, right?
  18. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 04:35 PM) Those bastards! I was listening to it online 20 minutes ago and it was not on..... Once again... The Score can't STREAM MLB games. You have to pay for that. Even though it's being broadcast over the airwaves, Sporting News Radio is being streamed when you listen to The Score online. You have to pay MLB to stream baseball games...
  19. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 04:29 PM) I'm mulling over picking that up for my Droid. I assume there's no blackout restrictions on radio broadcasts, correct? I don't think so. Plus you can listen to the home or away broadcast.
  20. QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 04:27 PM) Is it any good? Seems pricey for how much I'd use it. It's not that bad. The sound quality is kind of crappy, but it's awfully convenient. I stream radio all day... It's pricey but worth it I think.
