Who's our long man out of the bullpen?

Rick Renteria gets such a bad rap on this site. I believe he will get the most out of the young players on this team. I believe they will run through a brick wall for him. Can he improve his strategic moves? Sure he can. But look at the crap he has been given to work with during the rebuild. Cut him some slack and see what he can do.

The radio broadcasts are almost unbearable. I will celebrate the day that Ed Farmer leaves for good. He actually sided with the Royals after Tim Anderson's bat flip. He said he had no problem with the Royals throwing at him.

Moncada is on the verge of breaking out and being a superstar. I wouldn't move him off of 3rd for anybody.

I know this is off topic but God I want Mookie Betts in RF. Offer Boston Vaughn, Dunning, Mazara and Basabe for Betts. Sign Betts to a 7 year $245 extension. A guy can dream, can't he?

Listen... if Moncada truly ends up being a superstar, then you effing pay him what he deserves. If they let their own guy go, big ticket free agents will never look at the White Sox.

Mazara might benefit greatly from our clubhouse. Seems like he'd fit right in.

You'd need an outfielder who can be a defensive replacement if your corner outfielders are Eloy, Mazara and Castellanos. You'd have to keep Engel somehow to go in the game to protect a lead.

What if they still sign Castellanos? Would that break SoxTalk?

Wouldn't the Red Sox be willing to lauch JD Martinez and his contract for little of nothing? If they're rebuilding on the fly and they need to shed payroll, then I'd think he wouldn't cost much in terms of prospects. I know he has some sort of a No Trade clause but the White Sox are building a very interesting team here.

What happens to McCann if we get Encarnacion? There won’t be enough ABs for him.

This is how I feel. Hey at least they’re trying. I still want JR to go balls out and sign or trade for a big ticket player though. Spend $200 - $300 million on a stud so we know it’s real.

This right here. Why are we the second hand franchise? I don’t want the Yankees or the BoSox castoffs. And giving them salary relief so they can sign more players to beat your ass with makes it even worse.

Never forget that Peter Gammons once advocated for the White Sox to be contracted. This was back before 2005 when there was a lot of conversation about wacking one of the Florida clubs.

Would you be seething if nothing happened and we went into spring training as is? I think you’re going to be seething either way. I can’t think of a plausible scenario where you won’t be seething to be honest. A lot of us are disappointed right now.

This is what I have been thinking. Do we really believe that JR is going to pay Moncada or Giolito? The White Sox really need new ownership.

I’m starting to think that Hahn really does have a deal in place for David Price and he’s just waiting on the Sawks to throw in more cash. I can’t think of any other reason he’s not signing any of the guys left.
