I hope for Tim's sake the White Sox declines his option. He needs a fresh start with a competent organization and the Sox are going to be a mess until JR is gone. I bet he thrives with another team.

I just don’t see how he believes this team can compete next year. The farm is barren and he’ll never get a prime free agent to sign here. The only players who will sign up to be a part of this mess are players who are looking for one last contract before they’re done.

So some are theorizing that Reinsdorf is hiring Getz as a placeholder until he sells the team. Hopefully JR is preparing to sell and wants to keep costs low and doesn't want to bring in a new front office because the new owner will want to bring in his own people. That kind of make sense and I'm good with it as long as he truly does sell in the next year or so.

So if they have a press conference introducing Getz, who's going to introduce him? We all know Reinsdorf won't dare face the media and Getz is the number 2 guy in the organization now, so will he be introduced by a subordinate?

That would achieve NOTHING. Those old rich guys don't care what fans think. The only thing they understand is money. And the only think we can do to affect change is boycotting the games and merchandise. I wouldn't spend a dime on this team. I'd rather go see the Schaumburg Boomers or Kane County Cougars before I give any money to the White Sox.

This team is dead. This organization is dead. What TF has Chris Getz done to earn a promotion to GM?? Was “Project Birmingham” a success and we just don’t know it? Everything sucks with the White Sox and we’re all tired of it.

Side note: I really hope Kenny Williams gets another chance to lead another MLB club. I’m following him wherever he goes.

I wonder if GRF (Still a stupid ass name for a ballpark) could be retrofitted for a roof to be added? With all of the billions of dollars generated by these sports teams, there’s no excuse to have a stadium without a roof - especially in cities with harsh climates. Make these billionaires pay for it too.
