I would give Jon Jay’s at bats to any outfielder in AA or AAA. Jay serves no purpose here. It would be different if we were trying to show improvement and get to .500 or something but we’re not. We aren’t competing in 2019 so what does he do for us?

I felt like this before when I was pissed off at the team, but losing 100 games just to embarrass the front office is wildly counterproductive. To lose 100 games, Anderson, Moncada, Eloy, Lopez, Giolito... everybody would have to suck bad, and that’s not good for any of us.
