This makes me even happier that we got Alonso and Jay. I’d hate to have Machado sign then become a malcontent in the clubhouse because his favorite team wouldn’t pay him the money.

Please let this thing end in the next day or so. One way or the other, just let it end so we can focus on other aspects of the club.

So it looks like Machado will go to the Yanks and Harper will go to the Dodgers. Who will be the main contenders for Nolan Arenado next year? I can’t see either of those teams being in the mix for him. Who else do we have to worry about?

Heard some guys in MLB Radio saying that they fully expect Machado to go to the Yankees and Harper to go to the Dodgers. They said the White Sox are not even a long shot at this point and our best bet is that we go after Nolan Arenado when he becomes a free agent in 2020. The White Sox will might be closer to contention in 2020 and maybe they can entice Arenado with a huge bank breaking contract. I still say we end up with Puig next year

They will They will if they strike out on other free agents. I’d bet that the Dodgers wouldn’t require that big of a return. Plus the Sox need marketable names. Fans are starting to get restless.

I still say that Harper goes to the Dodgers, Machado goes to the Yanks and we somehow end up with Puig.

I would be one of those people who say the well never get Machado or Harper while they’re in their prime. If we sign either of them this year I’ll buy you all a beer on Opening Day.

I may be in the minority, but I don’t think you could throw enough money at Machado or Harper to play for the White Sox next year. It’ll never happen.

I understand the concept of rebuilding, but this is the kind of game that will test a fan base’s patience. This kind of game makes it embarrassing for fans to even wear White Sox gear.
