  1. I know Fulmer sucks right now but let him continue to get starts. It’s not like we’re winning anything this year anyway. Let him figure it out.
  2. Is anybody else thinking about hitting the Panic Button? This team is so bad.
  3. I hate losing to these bastards - even in the preseason.
  4. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 03:40 PM) WLS was never a good fit It was a HORRIBLE fit. I’ve never listened to WGN. Are the daily shows political like WLS? Is it going to be the same thing?
  5. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 01:59 PM) Still prefer ESPN1000, so there could be more Sox talk during non-game times, but WGN would be my 2nd choice. I agree. The Sox need as much pub as they can get and I think ESPN Radio 1000 would cover them a lot more.
  6. It’s amazing that no one seems to care about this. I check the news and twitter every day and... nothing.
  7. QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Jan 30, 2018 -> 02:27 PM) Just saw this today, take it for whatever it's worth to you: "WGN Radio will sign the team but Ed Farmer cannot be involved with the game broadcast and JR is balking but he also has no place to go. WMVP has no interest at all." It would be supremely ironic if WGN after having and promoting the Cubs all those years now becomes the White Sox station. I really want the Sox on ESPN Radio 1000 because it’s a sports talk station, but I’d be happy with WGN if that means no more Ed Farmer. I can’t stand Farmer.
  8. This is my dream come true. I HATE the Sox being on WLS. The reception is terrible even on the eastern side of Schaumburg and there is virtually no talk of the Sox outside of the games and White Sox Weekly podcast. The White Sox need to be on a sports station. I'm sick of the Score, which has turned into WCUB. I heard Bernstein and Bruce Levine discussing the White Sox yesterday and almost fainted. Put the White Sox back on ESPN 1000. Please.
  9. At least it's not that team from the north side.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 15, 2017 -> 05:34 PM) Peavy had a 5.54 ERA in 2016 as a 35 year old pitching in San Francisco. If he's a better version of Holland it's just luck. I'd rather they give those innings to a young guy who could possibly figure things out in the majors and become an asset. We might get lucky. Plus I doubt Peavy would want to come back here. It's cold and dreary and he's a southern/California guy.
  11. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Oct 9, 2017 -> 03:29 AM) The great thing about that is there are about 5-7 other legitimate starter options in the White Sox minor leagues that you don't even have listed. Dunning, Cease, Clarkin, Adams, Fulmer, Guerrero, Stephens all have starter potential as well, and I think I may even be missing some on that list. I don't even know who the f*** Clarkin is... which makes it even more awesome. I love a deep farm system.
  12. I think Sale's biggest problem is that no one has the balls to tell him "no". He seemed tired and worn out last night. The Red Sox should have had him skip a few more starts in the regular season to save his bullets, but I'm sure that everyone knows he would have thrown a temper tantrum.
  13. It seemed like he had a hard time handling the clubhouse. You had a spoiled petulant ace throwing temper tantrums, cussing out front office personnel and cutting uniforms, you had a struggling DH's kid being treated like he was actually on the team, and you had a right fielder creating cliques in the clubhouse. That seems like a clubhouse out of control. The good thing is I don't see that happening in Rick Renteria's clubhouse. He doesn't seem like the type to take that kind of s***.
  14. Reds win. That means we get the 4th pick, right?
  15. QUOTE (harkness @ Aug 17, 2017 -> 12:14 AM) when you sell every member of your bullpen.. including a piece of suck recently required... Well you going to lose and lose some more... And in the end its fine... We won't be bad for long.
  16. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 27, 2017 -> 04:50 PM) Chet bringing heat. Let's pelf our way to cup I had to come strong for my first game thread. We need a win.
  17. QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Jul 26, 2017 -> 02:55 PM) https://www.wsj.com/articles/for-the-white-...069920?mod=e2fb The biggest thing that caught my eye was this paragraph: "In Hahn’s ideal world, the White Sox might have gotten here sooner. He acknowledged that there have been other moments where he and Williams proposed a total rebuild, as the team heads toward its fifth straight losing season. I've always said that Kenny Williams was unfairly blamed for the team constantly being in "win now" mode. I think KW took the blame, but it was Reinsdorf who didn't want to tear it down because JR was afraid of lost revenue from low ticket sales. If KW and RH are given orders to put a winner on the team and told not to trade veterans, what could they do? Reinsdorf is the owner. I bet Robin Ventura was a JR hire too.
  18. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 25, 2017 -> 06:48 PM) I circled 8 names on the roster at the break. 5 are gone. Melky, Gonzalez, and Holland are left. Holland might be wishful thinking. Meh... we have to have someone eat up innings. Don't wanna bring the kids up and burn them out. Keep Holland and Shields.
  19. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 25, 2017 -> 06:30 PM) This dude has a much better chance of actually making a roster. He may come up when Melky goes. This is exactly what I was thinking. Melky might not be here very long.
