  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 27, 2016 -> 09:45 PM) Stretch! Grab some bench.
  2. I want to see balls and strikes determined by a computers and cameras too. Take moody umps out of the equation.
  3. I'd rather see a rule implemented where a batter gets two bases instead of one if he's hit by a pitch.
  4. I think the Sox will be a lot better than many of you think. While I don't think they'll sniff the playoffs, I think they'll be in the middle of the pack. I think we're underestimating the difference Renteria will make. He'll be a big improvement over Robin Ventura.
  5. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jan 28, 2017 -> 09:14 AM) Don't really see the point here; it's not like he's a player who can be dressed up and flipped. Just old habits die hard, I suspect. I mean you gotta have somebody who can play major league baseball, right?
  6. This is pretty cool. I hope there's a World Series rematch on 2017, and the Tribe destroys that north side team. Cleveland deserves it.
  7. Lol I'm going to laugh when Hahn gets Glasnow, Meadows and Bell for Quintana.
  8. QUOTE (Con te Giolito @ Dec 22, 2016 -> 09:55 AM) I'm not getting my hopes up because it's so far fetched, but think about this going forward 1 Moncada 2b S 2 Meadows Cf L 3 Abreu DH R 4 Bell 1b S 5 Collins C L With the young arms the Sox already have acquired. Time to quit dreaming. Collins isn't ready yet, is he? And I thought Hahn said he was going to let Moncada develop more in the minors.
  9. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Dec 8, 2016 -> 09:27 AM) I'm probably overreacting, but I feel like if Hahn deals Quintana and Abreu OR Frazier, this team may not win 55 games. I'd rather win 55 games with hope for the future instead of winning 76 games and stuck in limbo. I feel good about being a White Sox fan again.
  10. It really sucks when Joe Cowley is on The Score when there is breaking White Sox news.
  11. I haven't been keeping up.... Quintana to the Nationals for Giolito and Robles?
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 01:21 AM) You lost me at LF-Harper. I stopped reading. We can only dream. All of the unnecessary acronyms threw me off.
  13. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 11:59 AM) Because best case scenario Sox are good again in 2019 and JBJ has 2 years left at that point. To me, getting JBJ means the Sox will still try to patch together a decent team in 17/18, which I guess deep down I am OK with. I know most here arent, however. This is exactly what I was thinking. It won't be a burn it to the ground rebuild and I don't think Q gets traded.
  14. If the White Sox are doing a proper rebuild, then hopefully he'll be gone and it won't matter.
  15. QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Dec 5, 2016 -> 04:24 PM) Normally I'd be concerned with the additional work / innings but hell he may not even be with the Sox by then. Mark Normally I'd be concerned with the additional work / innings but hell he may not even be with the Sox by then. Mark Que the "Get the papers" joke.
  16. This is starting to feel like we're buyers and not sellers.
  17. This seems far fetched, but if Barack Obama became part of them White Sox ownership, I'd buy season tickets the day they went on sale. In a heartbeat. No hesitation.
  18. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Nov 22, 2016 -> 12:11 PM) Does that affect his trade value??? I would say so. I mean would you want a guy embarrassing the team by cutting up uniforms he doesn't want to wear or throwing temper tantrums when his buddies are traded?
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 22, 2016 -> 10:25 AM) Sale is a slightly better pitcher, Quintana is very close and is under team control for longer. If I assume that each of them will repeat last season's WAR numbers, Quintana provides more overall value and more surplus value under this current contract. One game yeah I pick Sale. Trading for the guy and looking at multiple seasons? Plus Quintana isn't going to be slicing up uniforms in your locker room.
  20. If we get a good return, I won't be all that upset. I wouldn't call him a cancer, but I think he's immature and would probably be a bully to younger guys coming up. And I hate disrespect to the manager and front office. I'd like to see him in the National league preventing that team on the northside of the city winning multiple championships.
  21. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 06:39 PM) whitesoxdave ‏@barstoolWSD 13s14 seconds ago Rumor on the hot stove is the #Dodgers and #WhiteSox are discussing Sale & Frazier in a package deal to LA for a big prospect return Do the Dodgers have enough prospects for both of them? I'd be happy with Sale to the Dodgers. He'd be out of the AL and Kershaw and Sale would be hard for that north side team to beat in the playoffs.
  22. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 03:47 PM) I think he was looking at it as more of a going to the ballpark and watching the games stand point. If they trotted that starting lineup that was posted on the previous page out there most of the season, I certainly wouldn't go to games and likely not watch. Of course, there would be some good MLB ready prospects brought back in the deals so we shouldn't have to worry about seeing that kind of lineup. I see what you're saying, but still... a rebuild is a rebuild. I know it would suck to see them lose almost every game, but if it's going to get higher draft pics then I'm all for it. We'd be losing anyway, right?
