  1. Jesus Christ this article makes me feel bad. Just blow everything up and trade Sale, Abreu, Quintana... everybody. We're so doomed.
  2. QUOTE (dpd9189 @ Nov 11, 2015 -> 10:07 PM) Daniel Murphy, 4yrs/$56 mil Yuck.
  3. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Nov 11, 2015 -> 01:50 PM) Then Abreu gets kidnapped there and we loose our 1st baseman lol This is immediately what I thought.
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 8, 2015 -> 05:49 PM) It actually came from Gammoms Well Gammons once said that MLB should look at the White Sox for contraction before they kicked Boston's ass and won the World Series in 2005, so this doesn't surprise me.
  5. How old is Howie Kendrick? It seems like he was with the Angels forever. This reeks of Orlando Hudson. I'll pass.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 03:02 PM) Welcome to no catch all land. What happened to the Catch All thread?
  7. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 02:24 PM) This getting its own thread is hilarious. Let's give Lombardozzi a nickname, like Bacon Slayer or TCQ.
  8. QUOTE (LDF @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 07:35 AM) i am torn on the trading or not trading. i can see the sox not trading, b/c at the end of the day, that rotation is knockout rotation only missing 1 sp. but with the holes in the team, i really don't see the sox spending too much in the FA pool. it is not like them to go too deeply in spending, only spending within a limitation. I don't see how the White Sox can make enough moves to make us that much better. Plus we still have Robin Ventura calling the shots. We're going to waste another year of good pitching by fielding a bad defensive team. Smh we're doomed.
  9. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Oct 23, 2015 -> 08:56 AM) I agree, and if packaged with Quintana you'll have some damn nice options in return. We'll easily upgrade two positions. Even assuming regression for Thompson, and having a slot in the rotation to fill, I'd jump all over the right deal. No one is untouchable. If our management is capable of looking past the NOW (ie, how can a struggling offense trade their second best player) they can really have a lot to work with We still aren't sure Thompson can hit on a full time basis yet. He could be like Brian Anderson or Jordan Danks... nice in the outfield but can't hit his way out of a wet paper bag.
  10. QUOTE (Mike F. @ Oct 22, 2015 -> 06:00 PM) Isn't Gardner just a more expensive and older version of Eaton? Right... maybe with a slightly better attitude. I don't think he's as talented as any of the free agent outfielders.
  11. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 22, 2015 -> 05:29 PM) Gordon, no doubt Tell me why Gordon is better. I think I'd rather have Upton but I really don't know.
  12. I'd rather have Cespedes or Heyward, as I'm sure most of us would. But if it came down to Upton or Alex Gordon, who would you choose?
  13. QUOTE (shysocks @ Oct 22, 2015 -> 02:17 PM) I don't think the Reds would have to eat any money in a Votto deal. Even though his contract will be a burden, right now he could easily get something similar on the free agent market. He is one of baseball's top talents when he's healthy and if you want that guy on your team, you're gonna have to bid for him. Demanding that they eat a bunch of money isn't gonna get Joey Votto. No more NL sluggers, please. I'm afraid he'd turn in to an Adam.
  14. You can't change the philosophy of the White Sox without changing ownership... I don't care who you bring in to run the team.
  15. Overly serious baseball fans piss me off. The ball park is for everyone - including KIDS who think that the wave is pretty cool. No one is asking you to participate. Sit there and choke on your burgers and burritos if you want and let people do what they want. Lighten up Francis.
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 3, 2015 -> 02:20 PM) The start of the drive to the playoffs. Jeah...
  17. Am I the only one here who wants Kenny Williams to stay? Does he have any more fans here?
  18. Trayce Thompson is better than Kyle Schwarber. TFT.
  19. QUOTE (ptatc @ Aug 24, 2015 -> 08:27 PM) Without a doubt. He is one of the most hated players in the league by teammates. There is a reason that he needs to travel from team to team. He is truly one of the most dislikable people you've ever met. In Baseball he is on par with Bonds and sheffield. "Everybody hates A.J. His team mates just hate him a little less" - Ozzie lol
  20. Whatever they do, I hope the Sox get rid of Ed Farmer. Please get rid of Ed Farmer.
  21. For the life of me I'll never understand how a pitcher can pump his fist like he just got the final out of the world series, but a bat flip and a slow trot after a home run means a batter "doesn't know how to play the game right". Man f*** baseball's unwritten rules.
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 9, 2015 -> 01:09 AM) I didn't want to start a negative thread so I'll bring it up here about Robin/Melky/LaRoche. Should Robin or Jerry talk to Melky about not being a clown and LaRoche about shaving? LaRoche looks like an idiot with that shaggy beard IMO. He did hit a bomb on Friday but aside from that has been an utter failure as a Sox. Melky gets on base and bear-hugs the first baseman; then he goes to second and bear-hugs the second baseman. He starts yapping into the Sox dugout and does it a long time. Just for getting a hit. I mean if LaRoche has to have the beard, fine. But Melky is disrespecting the game. He's saying "look at me" all the time. I mean, Melky, the reason they are paying you zillions of dollars is they thought you'd help win games and get the team in the playoffs. The clown behavior has to stop at some point. It reflects poorly on Robin. We need a tighter ship, folks and that means Gardenhire! Lighten up Francis.
