I wonder how long Moncada has before the organization gives up on him?

I would love to see him traded. They don't even have to get anything back for him... just take the money off the White Sox books. Good riddance to a trash ass dude.

I've always been a Moncada fan but I'm about tired of him now. He's too injury prone and streaky. I wouldn't be mad if they traded him.

Why would a free agent ever want to sign with the White Sox. Zach Wheeler turned down more money to sign elsewhere. AJ Pollack left money on the table and left. You know players talk amongst each other and this can’t be a place they want to come to. Man Grifol and Charlie Montoya better win this year or this franchise is going to sink even further into the abyss.

This is why I waited to join my season tickets group. No way in hell I’m doing it now. That old man doesn’t care.

I wondered why the Sox didn’t resign Engel. Maybe he didn’t want to resign here?

JR definitely doesn’t deserve any more of our money. I’m probably not going to give him any more of mine.

Benintendi isn’t coming here. He has other options to sign with a team who wants to win and I’m sure that’s what he wants. The Sox front office have to prove to free agents that they want to win. Only players that come here willingly are those near the end of the line or players that need to rehab so that other teams will want them again.

These mega contracts become instantly worth it the minute the team wins a championship. I can see the Giants winning in the near future.

Right. You don’t need a closer if you have no catcher, second basemen or corner outfielders. This team has way too many holes to be worried about a lock down closer.

I often wonder how other MLB players feel about the White Sox as an organization? I bet they think that this isn’t a serious organization. Zach Wheeler left money on the table to sign elsewhere, Keuchel s%*# all over the team on his way out. AJ Pollock gave money back to not have to to play here anymore. Potential free agents have to see that this owner isn’t serious about winning and I bet most MLBers think this team is a joke and would never sign here unless it’s their last resort.

Didn’t Hahn ask for Rafael Devers or Xander Bogaerts instead of Yoan Moncada in the Sale trade? Boston knew what they were doing.

Like I said in another thread, some owners are in it to win and some owners are in it to further enrich themselves. It sucks that the owner of our team puts profits over winning.

I’m interested in Lupita Nyong’o. Doesn’t mean I have a chance in hell to get her. Enough with this “interested” s%*#.

One thing about this though is that their outfield defense would suck. Tatis and Soto aren’t good defensively. I guess it doesn’t matter that much when you can outslug everyone.

Some owners are in it to win, and some are in it to make money and further enrich themselves. Maybe it’s time that we all switched our fandom to a team with an owner who actually wants to win.

If this is true then why not blow it up and start over again? This team needs so much. If they don’t make significant trades and are hovering around .500 by the all star break, then they should absolutely trade everybody and start over.

I think all of this means that the White Sox are pretty tight lipped on their offseason plans this year. No one knows anything, so everyone’s speculating and coming up with all of these wild ideas. Levine and others know nothing so they’re grasping at straws on the local talk shows to fill a Sox convo quota or something.

I’m thinking the White Sox are a “Wish” sandwich - two pieces of bread and you wish you had some meat to go between them. We all wish the owner would sign a big fish free agent.

I’m on board with this plan. Grandal can’t catch and he can’t run anymore. All he does is walk and hits an occasional home run. Plus he slow as molasses and he clogs up the bases. Release him and eat the money.

The White Sox don’t need this guy. He seems like a clubhouse cancer.
