  1. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 07:59 PM) I'd give it about 20 games before people would be wishing Ozzie was back if LaRussa managed the White Sox. Every game would be 3 hours plus. You would need about 4 loogys, and a real bad player, DeWayne Wise would probably be available, that LaRussa would absolutely adore and play way too much. I don't understand the fascination with Larussa on this board. I would honestly rather keep Ozzie. Kenny Williams is not going anywhere. The only way he leaves is if he volunteers to step down because feels that he can't work with Ozzie any longer. I think that the best scenario would be for Ozzie to step down and to TV for a year before going to an NL team and for Kenny to hire Sandy Alomar Jr. or Dave Martinez. Hahn can move on to another team if he wants.
  2. I wonder if he's going to report to spring training about 40 lbs lighter? If he shows up fat again and he goes 0 for April and May, everyone will know that he doesn't care.
  3. Ozzie shouldn't have to tell his pitchers to retaliate. The pitchers should have enough f***ing balls to protect their team mates without having to be told.
  4. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Aug 11, 2011 -> 12:58 PM) Dunn couldn't hit water if he fell out of a f*cking boat. Dunn couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with a handful of rice. Dunn couldn't hit a bull in the ass with a bass fiddle.
  5. I don't know who this Kate Upton is, but I'm sure as f*** about to find out. As far as the subject of this thread goes.... wait, What were you guys talking about? All I remember is this Kate Upton chick doing the Dougie. Was the original subject even important?
  6. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Aug 8, 2011 -> 09:33 PM) f*** yes! Puttin some Bubbles in my f***in bath tonight! Are you Chris Getz??
  7. QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Aug 8, 2011 -> 10:55 AM) can we please stop talking about this guy This x 100,000,000,000,000!!!!!! Just in case anyone missed it the first time, I'm going to quote it again using much bigger letters: QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Aug 8, 2011 -> 10:55 AM) can we please stop talking about this guy
  8. I heard about that Colbert bit on the radio this morning. Good God that is embarrassing.
  9. Lol watch Adam Dunn go on a tear when it becomes clear that the Sox are out of it. I mean he's gonna be on FIRE smashing EVERYTHING out of the park.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 09:33 AM) Fisk would be a terrible manager if he was anything like he was on the field. Players today wouldn't put up with it. This x a million. Why would anyone think that Fisk would be a good manager? What has he done since he retired? Has he even coached at any level? I know Robin Ventura is a Sox favorite, but does he have the experience to be on a big league coaching staff? Playing is one thing, but coaching is another. Just because Frank Thomas was a great hitter doesn't mean he can teach someone how to hit.
  11. No. I'd rather they kept Ozzie before Larussa. Sandy Alomar Jr. or Dave Martinez please.
  12. I bet the thick lump would probably start back hitting if we went back to the NL. He'd look soooo good in a Pirates uniform right now. Hell he'd look good in a Kane County Cougars jersey right now. He'd look good in any other teams uniform.
  13. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 09:25 PM) I'm pretty excited that we have 3 more YEARS of a 'power' hitter who has a snowballs chance in hell of getting a hit off a lefty. No f***ing way. He'll retire before that three years is up. LOL they're going to start chanting RE-TIRE RE-TIRE at the Cell whenever he bats.
  14. I'D RATHER HAVE JERMAINE DYE RIGHT NOW!!!
  15. Sure would be a nice time for a home f***ing run Adam Dunn... Nevermind. Retire.
  16. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 07:48 PM) I would say I hope Kenny gets nervous and fires Ozzie to try and save this season (and maybe his job) sometime in the near future, but who knows if he's even allowed to fire Ozzie. I have to say that I'd be shocked if both of them came back next year. I'm not privy to any inside information, but it sure seems like Ozzie is just as powerful as KW. I wouldn't want to work as a GM like that either.
  17. Adam Dunn. At least Rios can catch the f***ing ball. Sometimes.
  18. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 04:44 PM) Can they cut these f***ing crap "All-in" commercials? Seriously, it just makes this organization look like a joke. STOP. PLAYING. THEM! This x a hundred thousand BILLION! I honestly think this ALL IN bulls*** has played a small role in the team sucking so bad this year. I bet it made the players feel extra pressure to perform better at the start of the year, which made them struggle. Plus it just sounds f***ing stupid. This isn't a poker hand, it's a f***ing baseball season.
  19. Adam Dunn... Just f***ing retire. There's no need to keep putting yourself through this. Why are there so many red cubs fans at the Cell? Rios you can go ahead and retire too. I can't wait until the motherf***ing Adam Dunn and Alex Rios Appreciation Threads.
  20. Why the f*** did you swing at that CQ?
  21. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 04:20 PM) Purely saying that's why posters defended keeping Gordon. Not saying it was the right move. Are you saying that people here on this board didn't want to trade Beckham for Gonzalez only because they didn't think the White Sox would be able to sign Gonzalez long term? I disagree. People here didn't want to trade Beckham because they thought he was a baseball god and a future HOFer.
  22. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 04:07 PM) Agreed, which is why we need to get rid of Ozzie as he'll never admit Walker is not getting the job done. I bet Sandy Alomar Jr or Dave Martinez will. Hopefully next year too.
  23. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 03:59 PM) To be fair, at that point the Sox didn't look like the kind of team that was going to spend enough to be able to keep AGon long term Now we know that may have been the case, but it was tough to judge back then. Eh... I guess you're right. I guess hindsight is 20/20... or 50/50... or however that stupid f***ing saying goes. Dammit I just want my team to win.
  24. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 03:49 PM) Wow...good thing we didn't trade him for AGon. Can't hit in the majors if you can't hit fastballs Gordon. You just unearthed a painful memory for me. Imagine Gonzalez in a White Sox uniform right now instead of Dunn. I bet Beckham plus another prospect or 2 would have gotten it done too. But nooooo... Nobody wanted to trade the "Bacon Slayer". My God.
