  1. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 05:34 PM) If Sox do not score I will not be in another game thread in 2011. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 05:35 PM) I'm with you. You'll be back. You can't stay away.
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 11:23 AM) We've had that unusual circumstance of 2 off days in one week. I don't get why we're sitting Konerko, instead of Pierre, for example. Because Dunn's defense will do much less damage at 1B? If we already are putting Teahen in RF, might as well thrown Dunn out in LF, too, and go for broke offensively. Dunn in left field and Teahen in right field? Are you trying to kill Alex Rios?
  3. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 29, 2011 -> 11:01 AM) I know it's hindsight but involving him in a package for A-Gon would have been fantastic. A lot of people were pissed when that was even brought up. They said no way to a Gonzalez for Beckman straight up trade. But that was way back then when he was referred to as the "Bacon Slayer" around here.
  4. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 29, 2011 -> 09:59 AM) nope that is a reflection of the GM and the organizational philosophy as a whole we are now seeing the result of a GM and manager that go in different directions and try to masquerade their diffences with a high payroll. What? So it's Kenny's fault that the team doesn't play the game right? I disagree but I don't wanna turn this into another Kenny vs Ozzie or GM bashing thread.
  5. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 29, 2011 -> 09:26 AM) After the Lillibridge acrobatics in the batters box last friday to cost us the game I think we are seeing why he has not considered an everyday player I think the White Sox just have a lot of players with a very low baseball IQ Is that a reflection of the coaching staff?
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 28, 2011 -> 02:04 PM) Paul Konerko 2003 Holy s*** how could that be overlooked? I remember that. Konerko sucked big time. I think it happened right after he called out Frank Thomas about something. That really puts things in perspective though. I hope Dunn gets it together real soon.
  7. After last night, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if either Ozzie or Kenny resigns in the next couple of days. It seems like Ozzie has lost the team, and if Kenny feels like doesn't have the power to do anything about it he'll probably say the hell with it and leave himself. That game last night was bad. And I feel like I'm one of the most optimistic people on this site. I mean seriously, I had no faith whatsoever that the Sox were going to win that game. I felt like they were just delaying the inevitable. I still have faith overall for the team, but I can only imagine how those fans that don't have faith are feeling.
  8. This is a completely random question, but does anybody know what the deal is with Mully and Hanley? Why are they both gone so much? They're hardly ever on at the same time. Do they not get along? Is one of them sick? Are they in contract negotiations? I was just curious...
  9. Both bullpens will be worn out for the rest of the series.
  10. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:11 PM) BTW, where did you get that picture as your avatar? I took it myself... She's laying right next to me. No seriously though it's just some random internet chick.
  11. According to Hawk there's already been a walk off at US Cellular this year. Well dammit let's have another.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:08 PM) Can some describe how Pierre just missed a walkoff? He hit the ball out but it was foul by just a little bit.
  13. I'm telling you the White Sox are passed due for a walk off...
  14. The Sox haven't had a walk off this year yet, right? Tonight will be a good time for the first one.
  15. I logged in just to say MOTHERf***ER after that catch. That is all.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 03:25 PM) If Z starts out as a hitter, while pitching, the Cubs lose the DH for that game. Ah cool. Thanks.
  17. This question might have been asked here before, but can the Cubs still let Zambrano bat tonight if they wanted? Can he still be the DH even though he is pitching? I know it's an AL park with AL rules, but Zambrano can hit.
  18. I'm not convinced Oz won't be here next year and I'm not convinced that the Sox won't be crowned AL central champions this year. BUT... If he does end up leaving, I'd bet the farm that his replacement here would either be Sandy Alomar Jr. or Dave Martinez.
