  1. Not sure what you really could have expected though.
  2. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ May 6, 2007 -> 08:06 AM) If De La Hoya's attire looked like this: http://www.theodora.com/flags/new/african-american.gif I'd bet my bank account the African community would be outraged and it would've overshadowed the fight no matter how good it turned out to be. It's blatant disrespect. Nah, Mayweather probably would have just gotten pissed and oh, I dunno...maybe taken advantage of the fact that he was participating in an organized with the person who disrespected him just 2 minutes after he was disrespected.
  3. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 6, 2007 -> 02:02 AM) Oh, and I hope Tyrus Thomas doesn't see the court until next season. He was embarrassing.
  4. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ May 6, 2007 -> 01:28 AM) I can't believe how many people liked PBF's entrance. That's a slap in the face. It's like me taking a piss on the American flag on the 4th of July. It's like taking a crap on a map of Africa. Of course, if Oscar did what PBF did to him, it would be all over CNN and outrage among the community. Double standard? Definately. No...you taking a piss on the American flag would be like Floyd taking a piss on the Mexican flag...
  5. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 6, 2007 -> 01:12 AM) True, but Nocioni isn't our best scorer. Nocioni isn't our 1st option. Nocioni isn't expected to drop 20 a night. Oh I know. I wasn't debating your post at all Gordon was a huge disappointment. I was simply adding my 2 cents of pissed off opinion.
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 6, 2007 -> 01:00 AM) I think what stood out to me most was when De la Hoya had Mayweather against the ropes in one of the 1st couple rounds and he tagged him with about 9 straight body shots. Mayweather was smiling the entire time. Mayweather's smiles were classic. He was just thinking, "Oscar, is that supposed to hurt?"
  7. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 6, 2007 -> 12:56 AM) Yeah, I thought it was over from then. You never know, judges could be swayed by the crowd a lot. Would have been a travesty if they gave it to De la Hoya. Oh, and Mayweather's entrance was one of the best in a while. The crowd undoubtedly affected things. They would stand up and roar as De la Hoya landed 1 of 13 punches, retarded.
  8. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 6, 2007 -> 12:49 AM) I enjoyed the fight a lot. I couldn't believe the 1st judge gave it to De la Hoya 115-113. Mayweather pretty much dominated the fight. Oscar threw a lot of punches but had numerous rounds with less than 10 punches connected. Pretty Boy Floyd picked his shots well and got Oscar with the hook a few times. De la Hoya really only got 2 good punches in. The commentators were spot on though. When De la Hoya was using the left jab, he had Mayweather leaning back a lot and backpedaling. He went away from it and Floyd took over from there. Would have liked to see De la Hoya get knocked out, but I enjoyed the match no doubt. I got so f***ing pissed/nervous when the first judge gave it to De la Hoya. What a bunch of s***.
  9. What a joke of a game. I don't even know what to say but that better be a f***ing wakeup call. Detroit is not f***ing Miami.
  10. As much as Dye is sucking, he's still probably been one of our 4-5 best hitters haha. Better than at least 3 of our regulars (AJ, PK, Crede), better than whoever plays LF, and whoever DHs.
  11. QUOTE(SoxGovernment @ May 5, 2007 -> 05:10 PM) country of asia Ya...
  12. QUOTE(JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ May 5, 2007 -> 05:08 PM) thornton has NO pickup move I was wondering why he never got any ass. Thanks.
  13. Hmm...that was damn close. God, Sweeney is the one young kid I really wanna see do well. I just hope people don't get down on him too fast.
  14. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 5, 2007 -> 04:35 PM) You're part of a minority, but I agree with you. ^^^
