  1. "PETA would like to offer a lifetime supply of cruelty-free hand cream to any NBA siss … excuse me, superstar who'd be willing to give the composite ball another shot. Recreational players and NCAA athletes have been using composite balls for years without experiencing scratches or scrapes — but we understand that the delicate hands of pampered NBA superstars are far more sensitive than those of your average Joe who actually has to work for a living. "The hand cream comes in a variety of scents, including "Filthy Rich Organic" (perfect for any overpaid millionaire) and "Peaceful Patchouli" — Nash, we have a whole case of that set aside for you. "Maybe by taking care of your own skin a bit better, you can allow cows who would otherwise meet their end in the slaughterhouse to keep theirs." f***ing PETA whacks jobs.
  2. I obviously know jack about hockey but just watching the Hawks PP vs. the Wings PP was night and day. The Hawks almost seemed to be on the defensive or at least having to retreat frequently where as the Redwings just sat around waiting for a good look, while the Hawks were never able to clear.
  3. I'm flipping between Niners/Seahawks and hockey, wtf. This recent success has me watching games.
  4. Apparently he has been charged with 6 counts of unlawful use of a gun. Per: Comcast William Jackson, through Bears.com MB/TalkBears
  5. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 04:56 PM) A couple years ago, Congress passed a law such that if someone is in possession of drugs on your property, you can be brought up on charges and jailed. I believe that it would be applicable in this situation if that were the case. Sure he can be charged but that definitely doesn't make him a "f***ing prick that deserves whatever wrath comes on him for breaking the law"
  6. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 04:43 PM) Sorry but as much as I want the Bears to win, If Johnson was in possession of a Leon Lett like quantity of drugs, I want him to rott for it. I already whined and complained about his off-field problems in the past and think the best thing you can do with consistent malcontents thats get into legal problems is cut ties with them. I am waiting to see what actually happened, but I do not feel sorry for him, I feel sorry for the team that relied on him and us fans. He's just a f***ing prick that deserves whatever wrath comes on him for breaking the law (if in fact we find out he had posession of drugs with the intent of distributing it). I have heard that a man left the house in handcuffs that was NOT Tank. Don't overreact just yet, it could easily be a friend of his.
  7. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 03:58 PM) Wait, so the Illini have got commitments from Arrelious Benn and Martez Wilson? Benn yes, Tez is announcing next week.
  8. QUOTE(Fotop @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 11:02 PM) Sucks he's never going to go to a BCS bowl. Loss for ND, for sure. But at least they're all going to UofI where they wont interfere with ND in any way. Much better than going to USC, Michigan, et al. Ya just pretend like you don't care about losing him. f*** ya McCray!
  9. I'm starting to get nervous about McCray but I'm still confident. Make the right choice D'Angelo!
  10. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Dec 12, 2006 -> 07:40 PM) Yeah -- a "legitimate star" that ranked 121st in VORP (and that's not including pitchers) among positional players in 2006. Well in that case...
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 12, 2006 -> 05:14 PM) HOLY s***. WHERE'S THE TYLENOL?
  12. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Dec 11, 2006 -> 11:45 PM) Also, Tony. Could it be because the Red Sox and Yankees draw ratings? Whether or not you like how the station is run, things that draw ratings and as a result draw more revenue will be front and center ahead of things that don't. And you don't think that's why NHL gets no coverage?
  13. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Dec 11, 2006 -> 06:22 PM) new illinois linebacker commit: enrique robertson Just keepin the train rolling. Should get the news on Purcell soon, hopefully McCray on Thursday, Brent/Tez on the 20th, and hopefully Cornell and Hughes down the line.
  14. I would put Seattle 2nd in the NFC, maybe it's just me. As I have specific questions about both Dallas and New Orleans
  15. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 09:30 PM) OMGAWDZ!@! ROMO WITH THE GREATEST TD PASS OF ALL TIME!! PUT HIM IN THE HOF!@!^$ How about this one... Tony Romo is NOT God.
  16. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 07:17 PM) It's going to be funny when the Bears lose their first playoff game this year. Bears have been kings of the NFC all year, Dallas hits a hot streak and is suddenly the hottest s*** around.
  17. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 06:50 PM) Seriously, Bears fans ought to be cheering on the Saints tonight. Why is that? Not like a random loss tonight changes anything.
  18. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 04:40 PM) Vince Young right now is like Steve McNair a few years ago. Stats aren't overwhelming but doing little things. Basically Tennessee is winning with defense and running the football. Vince Young is far from a world beater. I'm pulling for him to succeed because he seems likable, but to call him a God is over the top. Yes because I absolutely meant he was up there with the likes of God himself. Also, Vince Young is a huge part of that critical running game. And that running game didn't do s*** while Vince was bringing them back in the 4th against the Giants. Then today he makes THE winning play, and against Indy he runs for 9 YPC and drives them down to set up the Bironas kick.
  19. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 04:25 PM) Man, Vince Young sucks at football. DEAD
  20. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 04:20 PM) Because no QB in the history of the NFL has ever led their team to 4 STRAIGHT WINS! OMGZZ!@! That is of course ignoring the fact that Vince is a winner, period. And he didn't just lead his team in those victories, he basically won them.
