You truly believe that Hedo Turkoglu is arguably better than Luol Deng? -

I agree with the vast majority of this list, I was considering coming up with one but that's just about what I had in my head -

I think Zach Randolph has a vertical leap of less than 12 inches, I am investigating, but not finding many results. Dude is very crafty on the glass though and exceptional at tipping the ball to himself. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 11:36 AM) I disagree. It's a smart strategy and what smart teams should do to beat the Magic. If Dwight ever learned how to make a free throw it wouldn't happen. http://nba-point-forward.si.com/2012/01/13...s-all-to-death/ -

Does this strike anyone else as poor writing/journalism? http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2012-01...s-radio-analyst Seems very unsubstantiated, you gotta back a claim like that up with more IMO. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 11:03 AM) In my semi-defense of Ric Bucher, he's always LOVED Russell Westbrook. He's obsessed with the guy. This goes back to at least 2010. He didn't just throw him in his top 10 to make everybody mad. Damn, well he's not a pot-stirrer then...just a moron. The thing is I'm a big fan of Westbrook as well (he still has a lot to figure out), but to call him top 7...and better than Kevin f***ing Durant...oye. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 10:53 AM) As a living, breathing human you gotta just be like : : That is so stupid. Also, I don't care what he does in the playoffs, LBJ is #1. 1. LBJ 2. D-Rose 3. KD 4. Kobe 5. Dirk 6. CP3 7. Wade 8. Dwight 9. Melo 10. K-Love Obviously, there's room for interpretation, but Bucher having Westbrook in his top 7 and not ranking KD is moronic. However, doing so means he'll get lots of replies and hits, so victory to him, I guess. Certainly it is baffling to any human, I was just imagining being a Thunder fan, rooting/watching every single night. Having to deal with the constant frustration that comes with Westbrook's play and the shear amazing-ness of Durant, then seeing this list and possibly fracturing ribs from laughing so hard. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 07:53 AM) So my Directv interface changed to a slick new look with mostly black and a little bit of blue in the background, and seems to be working much faster. I dont know what it was about the reciever but the last couple months the guide was slow as f***, and I changed the batteries in the remote to make sure it wasnt the remote. Hopefully whatever they did speeds it up a little bit Yes, I had the same f***in problem when scrolling through the guy and s***, I kept thinking it wasn't picking up every button press on the remote but the new interface seems far improved.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 11:31 AM) Once he got to Miami it became more difficult because, in my opinion, Lebron started to think to much instead of just playing. Hes worried about getting Wade the ball or Bosh, instead of just being the man and to hell with everyone else. Which in and of itself is an issue with his mentality/demeanor. -

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 10:29 AM) Only one who can stop LeBron is LeBron, his post game, even with his lack of fundamentals is basically unstoppable. Watching yesterday's Heat/Clippers game, if I'm Spo I tell , f*** that, I demand LBJ get into the block on every posession at the last 2-3 mins of the game, who's gonna stop that?? It's truly baffling that here we are, his 9th year in the league, and he still doesn't have a dominant low post game. Should be money in the bank down the stretch. The number of little s***s you see defend him in crunch time off of switches and he still can't take them to the post. Latest example, Chauncey Billups last night. EDIT: Yes, I realize we are talking about a guy averaging 29 points on 57% FGs. The point is he still has the same damn problems in crunch time, and a strong post game would be the easiest way to correct that. Instead of attempting 2 shots in 4Q + OT against GSW and going 1-6 in 4Q + OT against LAC, he should be beasting mother f***ers on the low block. -

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 10:16 AM) My bad, I thought I was gonna have to set straight another KB=MJ, I reread your post and I agree... Imagine if you could combine KB's drive, killer instinct and will to win with LBJ's athletic talent...that would be unfair to the rest of the league. EXACTLY. No one will ever be Michael, but in terms of a guy who goes out every single night and plays balls to the wall, has nearly a psychotic competitive spirit, guts out injuries, and is simply a winner, Kobe Bryant is the next best thing to MJ. If LBJ had what Kobe and Michael have, the rest of the league would be playing for 2nd place. I have seen a few articles talking about how Kobe has recognized a similar mentality. "I just told him to stay healthy and continue the job he's doing," Bryant said of their November postgame talk. "I don't think you can develop (a killer instinct). You either have it or you don't. He's had it since he was in high school. -

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 10:06 AM) I hate to nitpick but Kobe is nowhere near MJ in terms of reg season stats, playoffs avg. and Finals accomplishments...the only thing he has is a similar style of play (he modeled his game after 23) but KB is nowhere near MJ. That would be why I CLEARLY stated: "in terms of winning, competitiveness, drive, and pure determination that we may ever see." None of the disparities you pointed out fall under any of those categories. -

I am a big fan of Ross track record. Two starting WR in 2 years. Kenny Phillips, Jason Pierre-Paul, and Prince Amukamara look to be defensive corner stones for the Giants. Will Beatty starts at LT for them before injury. Linval Joseph, starting DT. And on and on. -

I'm feeling a little bit better about the chances of the Bears actually going outside of the organization than I was a few days ago. Good to finally see a list of guys coming in for interviews. Everything I have read on Marc Ross from New York sounds encouraging, would be happy with him as the guy. Below are the Giants drafts with Ross as Director of College Scouting. Strong 1st rounders. 2011: Prince Amukamara, Marvin Austin, Jerrel Jernigan, James Brewer, Greg Jones, Tyler Sash, Jacquian Williams, Da'Rel Scott 2010: Jason Pierre-Paul, Linval Joseph, Chad Jones, Phillip Dillard, Mitch Petrus, Adrian Tracy, Matt Dodge 2009: Hakeem Nicks, Clint Sintim, William Beatty, Travis Beckum, Andre Brown, Rhett Bomar, DeAndre Wright, Stoney Woodson 2008: Kenny Phillips, Terrell Thomas, Mario Manningham, Bryan Kehl, Jonathan Goff, Andre Woodson, Robert Henderson Jimmy Raye was the Chargers director of college scouting from 2000-2007 in that time some highlighted draft picks 2001: 1: LT, 2: Brees, 2002: 1: Jammer, 3: Ben Leber 2004: Eli-Rivers, 2: Igor Olshanky, 3: Nick Hardwick, Nate Kaeding, 4: Shaun Phillips, 5: Michael Turner, 2005: 1: Shawn Merriman, Luis Castillo, 2: Vincent Jackson, 4: Darren Sproles 2006: 1: Antonio Cromartie, 2: Marcus McNeil Phil Emery only has one draft under his belt as Chiefs director of college scouting but it was pretty damn good. 1-Eric Berry, 2-Dexter McCluster & Javier Arenas, 3-Jon Asamoah & Tony Moeaki -

Crazy how premature all the "Kobe is done" talk was. I've never felt such a way about a professional athlete before. I so badly have always wanted to dislike him, but it's just too amazing to watch him play and too easy to respect the fact that he is the closest thing to Jordan in terms of winning, competitiveness, drive, and pure determination that we may ever see. The numbers he is putting up given the severity of his wrist injury, as well as the other nagging injuries, combined with the condensed schedule...truly amazing. He just scored 88 points in a back-to-back on a little over 50% shooting. -

That's at 7pm. For all you Tebow fanatics. So what the f*** have the last 2.5 months of constant Tebow coverage been named? I don't see this as a change from their regular programming. -

And now the Heat begin a full team meltdown LOLz. Will they lose a game this year though? Lebron concerned purely with the officials rather than his 1-6 shooting in the 4th + OT and near 50% FT shooting.
