  1. I could give two s***s what kind of mission this guy is supposedly on, same ole same ole in crunch time. This free throw performance is embarrassing. Starts OT with 2 bricks inside 8 feet with Billups on him.
  2. Lebron a complete non factor down the stretch two nights in a row
  3. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 04:26 PM) Yeah, I don't think you want a GM who thinks you need a change at QB. ^^ this. I have absolutely zero problem with them expressing commitment to Jay Cutler. Any GM who would come in and wanna change the QB immediately may not be a great candidate anyway. Lovie, on the other hand, is a completely different story. While I think he is a fine coach, you simply have to give a GM the ability to pick his own coach. And every time I think about the possibility of Ruskell I get extremely depressed and angry.
  4. Doesn't look like D Rose will be playing tonight
  5. -Most points scored by a Big 10 player in any game since Glenn Robinson in the 1994 NCAA tournament (44) -Most points scored in a Big 10 conference game since Glenn Robinson in 1994 (49) -Most points scored against an AP top 5 team since 1996 -Most points with 15 or less FG attempts since 1996 -Most points by a Big 10 player against Ohio State since 1986 -Most points score by any player against Ohio State since 1987
  6. QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 09:00 AM) Well, Etwaun Moore put up 38, 5 assists, and 3 steals on 13-18 shooting LAST year against OSU, so it's not unheard of. Solid win for the Illini. Best part is that it buys Bruce Weber more time. NICE And that too probably ranks up there in decade performances, and was not even quite as impressive. To score 43 points or more on 15 shots or less hasn't even happened in college basketball period in the last 15 years, pretty unheard of I'd say. 3rd player in all of CBB in 10 years to finish with 40+ points, 8+ rebounds, 4+ blocks...not too unheard of. Also, first 40 point performance in a Big 10 game since at least 1995. So yes, calling it one of the most dominant performances of this decade is entirely accurate.
  7. Man the Heat are so unbeatable will they ever lose? Lebron with 2 FGA's in the 4thQ+OT... Heat led by 17 late in the 3rd, 12 starting the 4th.
  8. What individual performances in the Big 10 in the last decade are as good as that? It sounds like hyperbole but BP just dropped 43 points on phenomenal shooting numbers against the number 5 team in the country. EDIT: in conference play obviously
  9. I am f***ing utterly speechless right now. God that was awesome. I can only pray that that could lead to a different Brandon Paul down the stretch.
  10. Usually I can just laughing at Illinois down the stretch when they look like ass, but f*** I want this one bad.
  11. Brandon Paul. Knock all 3 of these down and lets D up.
  12. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 10, 2012 -> 09:20 PM) Sometimes I like the Bulls more when Asik/Taj are with the #1s as opposed to Boozer/Noah. So pretty much the majority of the 4th quarters we play. I agree.
  13. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jan 10, 2012 -> 08:58 PM) No I am. I said good thing he snapped out of it. Before the first tv timeout he had 3 or 4 turnovers, a stupid chuck 3, and a terrible "attempt" at a finger roll and we had about 4 points. And we Then he flipped a switch. For sure I agree completely, I said to my brother "uh oh time for another classic BP 3-14 with 5 turnovers". The only thing he did well at the start was the two monster blocks. Speaking of useless, as you said, Griffey...guy can't do a damn thing on the floor right now. I would not be opposed to seeing Henry get more tick in place of DJ in the 2nd half.
  14. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jan 10, 2012 -> 08:53 PM) It took him 5 minutes to figure out a basketball game was going on...if he didn't suck early, we're possibly leading. Good thing he came out of it. Are you referring to BP? If so, can't complain too much since we'd be getting absolutely pummeled without him. (6-8, 3-4 from deep) If not, never mind. Bigger issue is DJ's useless ass, 1-5, stepped over the f'ing line on and in bounds pass and hasn't been too big of a factor on D.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 10, 2012 -> 08:47 PM) Illinois playing 3 on 5. Bertrand is incredible now 36 of his last 51
  16. Brandon Paul absolutely carrying the Illini tonight. DJ Richardson...lolzzz EDIT: Bruce, get DJ the f*** out of the game he can't help us in anyway right now
  17. I forgot that games in the NFL playoffs were based on season resumes, s***
  18. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Jan 10, 2012 -> 04:14 PM) I think that's fairly obvious.......however I think the idea would be that with their defense, they won't end up in that position. On the flip side, with the 49ers D, if they Saints get down 2 TD's they might be screwed. I think the Saints are capable of putting any team in that situation, regardless of how good their defense is. And there is no way even down 2 TDs that their offense could be counted out, against any defense. The Saints out-gained the 2nd most prolific offense in the NFL by over 600 yards, averaged near 470 yards per game and were never held under 20 points.
  19. I have been a huge fan of SF and what they have done this year, and I would like them against most other teams in the NFL. However, the problem will come if the Saints manage to build a 2 TD lead at any point in the game, which they are quite capable of, the Niners will be in real trouble no matter how early it happens.
  20. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 10, 2012 -> 03:00 PM) I seem to remember the Vikings having a great offense and got beat by the Falcons in the playoffs in 98. In 2006 the Ravens had a ridiculous defense, and lost to an offensive powerhouse in Indianapolis in the playoffs.
  21. Whether the Saints win or lose or how close of a game it is, to say that the 49ers would have won if they were playing instead of Detroit last week is just absolutely ridiculous and baseless on so many levels.
  22. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 10, 2012 -> 02:44 PM) The 49ers would not have dropped those possible interceptions. Also, the Saints got a lot help from the refs on that forced fumble. The Lions should have been up by 2 TD's and its all different ballgame than And the 49ers never would have been able to move the ball nearly as effectively as Detroit had...
  23. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 10, 2012 -> 02:40 PM) The Saints do have a great offense but if they were playing the 49ers last week, they would have lost. That is just an outlandish statement...
