  1. Tomorrow is a completely HUGE game. Winning 2/3 and gaining only 1 game on Det, nothing. Sweeping and gaining 3 games=right back in the division. HUGE GAME
  2. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 01:43 AM) Detroit is finally on the verge of a slump. We need to take advantage RIGHT NOW. Bingo. Can't let them off the hook with a s***ty pitching performance.
  3. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 01:04 PM) You could have pretended that the ump was a wall. Or in the case of that night...a sink...
  4. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 12:54 PM) I'm just trying to figure out how basically no one at the park seemed to catch it. Fathom and I mentioned it right away in the game thread but I thought my eyes might have been deceiving me considering nobody on the Sox argued at all. I spotted it. Unfortunately from 29 rows up the stands I don't hold much power.
  5. It was pretty awful both ways. Not going to blame them for the loss, because they were consistently bad all series. Just a complete dogs*** crew.
  6. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 12:42 AM) yes we do ^^^
  7. Don't give Melky 1st pitch heat QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 11:54 PM) Don't give Melky 1st pitch heat Or do...
  8. Haha nice hit ARod...that must have been the umps fault...
  9. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 03:01 PM) Charles Barkley on the Dan Patrick show: R O F L
  10. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 02:30 PM) I guess I was way off base - I thought they stood and applauded Johnson on the effort. A tip of the cap to him. Sure some were cheering for the hit. But most were knowledgable fans giving credit to a HOF pitcher. Doubtful. It was basically a mock cheer or a cheer of relief. If it was a cheer for RJ it would be a normal polite type of standing O, not yelling and cheering.
  11. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 01:56 PM) The best part of that Jeter catch is he took 3 steps after he had the ball (in fair ground) before being in the stands. I still think he could have stopped or almost stopped, but kept going to make it look good. Of course. Derek Jeter is far and away the one player that cares most about what he looks like when he is on the field. Hence, he walks like he has a stick up his ass.
  12. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 01:47 PM) damn, look at clarett's passenger seat. that's some serious weaponry. Your god damn right, that lint roller is dangerous.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 01:07 PM) If Derek Jeter made that diving catch into the stands like Uribe did, there would have been a Gatorade commercial revolving around the play already. I was talking about the same thing with my brother last night, it's bulls***. Uribe's stands catch>>>>Jeter's. Not only was it in WAY more important situation, but IMO it was tougher, period. Yet it's Derek Jeter so everything he does is blown way the f*** out of proportion.
  14. Haha blow me Haugh. Getting no-hit would be embarrassing, and I most definitely cheer for it not to happen against my team.
  15. Tonight would be a good time to really prove you may indeed be turning a corner, Javy. 7+ innings, less than 3 runs - Please.
  16. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 12:01 PM) This is the reason why we failed with bases loaded and no outs last night. When the opposing pitcher sees you trying to go for the fence, you are focked. This is probably what the twinks were seeing when Carlos Lee did the same thing in 2004 with the bases loaded when he K'd a few times. It was hugely obvious too. Truly a pathetic AB by AJ. If he would have gotten on with just a single or walk the tying run would have come to the plate, buy why do that when you can get back into the game with 1 swing? So God damn irritating.
  17. Where is Great Falls ya slacker
