  1. God I love BA. .830 OPS in July w/ a .322 average.
  2. QUOTE(PA32R @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 07:05 PM) That's my point. The pen looks rugged and the poster I quoted is implying KW has to make moves immediately. Gotcha. The pen is the least of my worries to be honest. There is no one in this pen that I dread bringing in. Jenks and Thornton I obviously trust. Riske has been solid ever since coming over, even if he pitches in the earlier innings. Cotts was lights out last year and has been actually very solid this year. Macdougal has a great arm and has been damn solid in limited time this year.
  3. QUOTE(PA32R @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 07:02 PM) Earlier in this thread, people were lauding the Sox' pen. And why wouldn't they? Since when does 1 game change anything?
  4. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 07:00 PM) Lol, glad to know every single reliever has given up a run tonight. So glad KW is done making moves! THIS TEAM IS SET! Yeah - this is all KW's fault...
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 06:50 PM) Any chance it will be easy? Is it ever? 1 down, 2 more Mac
  6. Way to step up, even in the middle of a slump, to drive in a huge run Joe.
  7. QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 06:45 PM) how bout you cut him some slack... its 100+ degrees out there and he has been squatting in catchers gear for 7+ innings... and he is perfect at the plate. Ahaha, wtf? I am not the only one to suggest he gave it a spiff effort, but think what you want.
  8. QUOTE(JimH @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 06:40 PM) Yes, a tough pitch to handle. However would it have been too much to ask for Pierzynski to get his glove in the right spot and not try to backhand it? Just one example from today, there are many others. Agree 100% there. Sure it wouldn't have been easy by any means, but he gave it a bullspiff effort. AJP 5-5 now
  9. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. God this is a huge out. MacDougal's first HUGE appearance for us.
  10. QUOTE(SadChiSoxFanOptimist @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 05:25 PM) (Written from the closet) To: ALL PAULIE DEFENDERS From: SadChiSoxFanOptimist in Rock's CLOSET RE: Learned My Lesson Forgive me brothers and sisters for I have SoxTalk sinned. I have been banished into the closet by Rock Raines and suffered worse ignominities from posters for respectfully considering the possibility that Paul Konerko might have value to another team and thereby, bringing us players to improve our team. It was clearly inapprppriate for me to raise such an issue -- even in a manner respectful to Paulie -- violating the unwritten SoxTalk "Thou shalt not consider replacement of Paul Konerko for any reason in any way without risking demeaning attacks" commandment. I've learned my lesson: It cannot get any better than Konerko. I repent. Rock, please release me from my closet prison. 11. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 02:32 PM) Gordon Edes: "The Sox this week offered center fielder Coco Crisp to the White Sox for left-handed All-Star Mark Buehrle, perhaps hoping that Buehrle's recent struggles might persuade White Sox GM Kenny Williams to move him. But the White Sox turned the deal down." *** Podsednik and a prospect? When you get a chance pass the crack pipe. Ahaha. Ya Pods + Spect for Crisp = crack pipe, but Buehrle for Crisp = sane?
