  1. Did we seriously strand a man on 3rd with no outs?
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 04:00 PM) According to the Mariners broadcast, the reason Sexson left because of blurred vision was that he couldn't believe this Sox team he saw on the field was in first place. Um....what...
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 03:54 PM) Good throw by the most overrated Sox player in recent memory. Talk about knee jerk But I forgot his entire BA is bloopers
  4. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 02:47 PM) "sacks are overrated" philosophy. Blache...:headshake
  5. Strangely enough I was actually thinking about this the other day. In like 3-4 years I was gonna shoot for. Thankfully I've been storing money my whole life.
  6. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 02:30 PM) There's about a .1% chance Orton does anything of substance this year. How do you figure

  8. It is being reported by the Score that... -Orton is playing with the starters today -Blake is playing with the 2nds -Hutchinson is on the sidelines with his arms folded
  9. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 01:03 PM) Getting demoted... Somphore slump. Book it. ^ I've never seen someone with less discipline at the dish. 2 BB:30 K Why he still gets pitches to hit is beyond me.
  10. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 12:45 PM) Piniella must be a terrible manager, he's 22 games under .500!!! Of course W/L isn't the end all be all when grading a manager, but you mentioned talent level, correct? What did people think of the White Sox talent coming into this season? Sure if we went into the season viewed as a talented juggernaut this wouldn't be as impressive on Ozzies part, but IIRC we were supposed to be very mediocre.
  11. I'd take Uribe @ 9.75/3 over Gonzalez @ 16-18/3 every day of the week. Hell - Uribe has a superior career AVG, SLG, OBP, OPS. Better career RF/ZR as a SS...the list goes on. AGon is gonna cash in way over what he is worth, probably because Rollins set the SS market insanely high. All things considered, Uribe>AGon. People calling for a SS upgrade...Gonzalez isn't the answer.

    QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 02:31 AM) Wasn't there a guy on the Astros in the 80's who was clocked at 1030-104 a few times. J.R. Reid? was that his name? J.R. Richard
