  1. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 12:05 PM) Ewww...I can't get past the looks of the stringy ones. I know everyone says they are better, but I like the round pieces that don't look as much like squid ^^^ The squid ones are just ick. The little ring ones are awesome.
  2. I think Matsui will probably play center
  3. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 11:46 AM) It won't happen. I'm also just as sure this Bears team--complete with the #1 defense in the National Football League :banghead :banghead :headshake --cannot win. Really? Here's my logic behind being a solid team... Subtractions David Terell Anothony Thomas R.W. Mcquarters - biggest loss Additions Muhsin Muhammad - a no doubt #1 wideout Fred Miller - a solid tackle Roberto Garza - a serviceable guard Doug Brien - an upgrade at K Mark Bradley - will occasionally tribute at WR Maybe Cedric Benson A real offensive coordinator Missed significant time with injury Adewale Ogunleye - missed 4 games, battled injuries Jerry Azumah - missed 4 games Charles Tillman - misses 8 games Brian Urlacher - missed 7 games Mike Brown - missed 14 games ^those are all BIG contributors
  4. Nice deal for the Yanks, that puts them a leg up in the wild card IMO
  5. Tim Rattay also beat out Alex becuase he didn't impress in his 2 games. Hutch has not beat out Orton.
  6. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 11:40 AM) Not only does Orton NOT put you in the best position to win ballgames, but you risk screwing up what looks to be a future NFL starter. Rarely do rookie QBs put you in the best position to win ballgames and this is no exception. Hell, the Niners are starting Tim f***ing Rattay over consensus #1 selection Alex Smith. Is Alex Smith more talented than Rattay? Absolutely. Does he stand a good chance of getting killed behind that OL and suffer a 2-3 year set-back as a result? Yes. Alex Smith is their future. Likewise, it would appear Orton is the Bears future signal-caller. You do not put these kids out there to get killed. Let's face it, the Bears are going NOWHERE this season. Nowhere. Putting Orton out there does nothing more than risk injury, confidence, and maturation set-backs. Let the kid watch the NFL from the sideline for a year, get in there for a few snaps and compete for the job next season. The Bears are not in a situation where they HAVE to play the rookie QB...so why do it? To finish with 4 wins on the year? No thanks. The Bears could easily win 4 with Hutch. Staying healthy with Hutch/Blake gives them 6-7. Hutch gives them a outside shot at the playoffs...JMO.
  7. Is it bad if I was hoping Hutch would suck? I just hate the guy and he sucks and I did not want him to start. If he started the opening game I will be pissed.
  8. GOOCH ANDERSON EL DUQUE POLITTE VIZCAINO HERMANSON
  9. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 12:02 AM) This is great. I love watching Bears fans march through misery year after year. It's looking even worse than last year. They'll be lucky to win 3 games. Please explain to me how it looks worse than last year? If you honestly think that you need a clue
  10. QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 11:48 PM) watch. they are awful on offense, absolutely awful Um...they are better on offense, defense, and special teams than last year where they won what, 5 games?
  11. That's his 3rd HR if we are playing in a park that isn't 405 to center
  12. QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 09:45 PM) note: the bears aren't winning a game this year Umm...WHAT?
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 11:15 PM) Is that sarcasm? I dunno
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 11:14 PM) and we wont make the playoffs. I fathom
