The one thing I still like to cling to is the Bulls silence. While some say its heartbreak and a scramble for plan B, I don't necessarily agree. Maybe the reason no one on ESPN/Yahoo/etc. is connecting LBJ to Chicago anymore is because there hasn't been anything out of Chicago in f***ing days. But honestly, what legitimately has happened that would have hurt Chicago's chances since this whole thing started (besides WWW)? Maybe the Bulls aren't saying a f***ing word because they feel good. I DONT KNOW DAMNIT JUST LET ME HAVE SOME HOPE YOU BASTAGES SO I CAN PROLONG THE SUICIDE WATCH FOR ANOTHER DAY

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 12:02 PM) The Bulls need to understand that no matter what they do, they're going to lose the PR battle and get ripped to shreds by most people since they didn't get any of the top 3. So screw PR, and do whatever is best for the team. Exactly, the hype/PR side of things is already out the window if Lebron goes elsewhere. At that point it's time to be shrewd, yes it sucks to miss out on the big three, but there's still a lot of money to be played around with on a really strong free agent class.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 11:59 AM) He's a good fit offensively with Rose. But a max deal (which is probably what it'll take since New Jersey will want him too I'd assume) for a guy who is inury prone and doesn't guard to play under a coach who is all about defense just screams problems. Absolutely, I just wanted to stand up for the guy since he's been getting blasted everywhere haha. I would be disgusted if we signed him for his max, but the guy is a pretty f***in good offensive player. I would prefer Lee, and I feel a Boozer-Max signing would be a product of the Bulls wanting to make a big "name" splash.
-
I'm not a huge Boozer fan either, and I definitely don't think he deserves the max. But in recent years Boozer has been ~ 20/10 on mid 50 FG%. For how long this team has been crying for a post scorer he's not bad. Not saying I want Boozer, so spare yourselves, but the guy is a pretty good interior scorer.
-
Even if Bosh signed with Chicago and called himself a winner on ESPN, I'd still laugh at him. That's a ridiculous statement, there is no excuse for some of those Toronto teams to not make the playoffs.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 11:47 AM) And now everyone's turning on Bosh. This is just 2000-2001 all over again after the Magic signed Grant Hill and Tracy McGrady and the Bulls ended up with Eddie Robinson. Sorry bro but Bosh has been a hatable f*** since free agency began, regardless of where he signed. But alright.
-
So they might take less money to fill out the roster...even though we already had the roster filled out besides the two positions that these guys play...?
-
Chris Bosh says he is a winner...hahahahaha nice
-
Chris Bosh is a truly annoying mother f***er, what a shame that he won't be locked up in Canada anymore.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:42 PM) Would it be bad news if they brought in guys like Redick, Mason, Morrow for visits in the next 2 days? Could easily go either way

I love the Bulls silence
-
He's using the donations as the best backdoor out of Cleveland, so he can't be vilified. And no one is talking about LBJ to Chicago because the Bulls haven't been saying a f***ing word
-
Go to 3rd
-
Well...f***
-
Just because he's doing it in Ohio doesn't guarantee hes resigning. Where else could he have it? If he scheduled it somewhere else traveled there etc, it would be leaked long before the decision was announced
-
Can he really hold a 1 hour long ESPN special/press conference and return to Cleveland?

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 07:54 PM) I know. And the extra year and 30 million is not even that big a deal in this case. As Lebron could be Jordan-like as far as off the court income in Chicago compared to Cleveland. But I always said that I won't get on Lebron if he ultimately decides his heart is in Cleveland and he wants to stay. But to completely whiff? That would be an utter embarrassment. The thing with whiffing is what can you do? Say LBJ and Wade both return to their teams, and Bosh follows Wade (A. because him and Wade are lovers, and B. because he wants the extra year and Toronto won't S&T with us), then what could the Bulls really do in that situation?

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 07:43 PM) Thing is I'm not even mad at management. From everything I've seen/read they've done their part. Chicago just is not the sexy destination that you would think it would be. The MJ factor hasn't meant a damn thing as far as attracting marquee free agents (Ben Wallace doesn't count). Maybe we don't have enough history. We weren't s*** before MJ and haven't been s*** since. Maybe guys aren't sold on Chicago to produce a winner. I agree completely. I honestly can't even get mad at management in any way, what more could you possibly ask from them? Nothing. I just don't even know what to say at this point. I'm so f***ing tired of all of this bulls*** that I just want it to go away. I don't want to sit on twitter and realgm and blogabull and read every little snippet about all of these guys. If we strike out, I will have a hard time understanding why. I don't know why Lebron would resign in Cleveland, I understand the home/loyalty angle but c'mon Bron, you aren't winning s*** there.
-
Boston and Atlanta would be highly debatable, but this is all pointless until it's over, guess I'll continue slitting my wrists at the thought of missing out on Wade/LBJ/Bosh.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 07:14 PM) We "competed" in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010. Which was fine considering the laughingstock we became following the breakup of the dynasty. But competing isn't good enough anymore. The last two years were all a prelude to this moment. To come away with Boozer or Lee and a few marginal free agents would be every bit as bad as prematurely breaking up a team that had won 6 of the last 8 championships. We've never competed in the east and we could easily do so after this summer, even with missing out on the top 3. If Bosh/Wade go to Miami and Lebron goes back to Cleveland, what team in the east is gonna be dominant?
-
While striking out with the top 3 would suck, it wouldn't nearly be the end of the world. Boston is aging, Cleveland will be the same old 1-man show, and Miami will have 2 stars on an incredibly thin roster. If this were to happen and the Bulls used their cap space well they could still compete. Lee/Boozer, Haywood, Miller, Morrow, Brewer, Redick, etc. While it would not be what we all have dreamed of, that team could still compete with those other teams who won't be nearly perfect.
-
There is zero chance that Rose doesn't want Lebron. Maybe his quiet unassuming demeanor could be somehow interpreted that way, but that absolutely can't be true. As far as the shooters thing, that is irrelevant as well. Our roster isn't nearly complete, clearly we could add some shooters to the mix. And it's not like being surrounded with only shooters has done him any good.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 4, 2010 -> 02:10 AM) Listen, I laugh when in a forum people act like sport reporters have ethics. they aren't covering a war, self promotion is all it ever will be. Where did I say differently?
