  1. QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 12:52 PM) I dont know about that. There are no holes in the Baltimore defense. I am a Bears fan and I love our D but you cant tell me you are absolutely content with our secondary. ^ Chicago=top 3 for sure though
  2. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 12:47 PM) Plus sign and trades are non-existent in baseball. ^
  3. WAKE UP OFFENSE EDIT: I take that back with Timo in the 1 hole and Uribe in the 2 hole Carl will be up with the bases empty frequently. Add in 3 automatic outs at the bottom....long, long, day.
  4. QUOTE(WSFAN35 @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 10:59 PM) Is Chad Hutchinson going to lead this team to anything? No. Put him in, let him learn the NFL. Grossman can't stay healthy, and even when he was, he was just average. Tom Brady was drafted in the 6th round. Did I say I'd rather have Hutch? No. I was simple refuting his point that Orton can do what Rex would have.
  5. QUOTE(WSFAN35 @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 04:30 PM) I really don't think the Borchard to Young comparison is as far off as you make it out to be. In case you don't remember, Borchard was our number one rated prospect for a long time, and was considered a Can't Miss type of guy. So they can be compared because they were both top prospects and can't miss guys?
  6. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 10:25 PM) What has Rex accomplished thats so impressive? When was the last time a 4+ round rookie QB lead a team to anything?
  7. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 10:23 PM) What the f*** did Rex ever do to make him so important? He's right on the money in the above post. Our team got better, and we know that Hutch>Quinn and Orton>Krenzel. I have confidence that we can win our weak division, I have confidence that Orton can lead our offense just as good as Rex could. Rex hadnt accomplished anything to lead us to believe that losing him would cripple our season. If we lost Urlacher, that may be a different story. But if Tillman, Brown and Wally can all shake off last years injuries and play the way they can (In the case of Tillman, that could be at an All-Pro level). Our defense is better than last years if it stays healthy, Brown and Tillman for a full season could add 8-10 more turnovers for our defense. Urlacher for a full season in these schemes is AWESOME. Muhammed is a good WR, Bradley has shown promise and we have Jones/Benson (Benson will sign, he wont be ready right off the bat I dont think however) which could be like Bettis/Staley. Im excited, and I'm ready to see what we can do. If you think we are just as good with Orton as we would be with Rex...I wanna know where you get your crack.
  8. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 10:20 PM) w00t go packers :headshake

    Celebrity Crush

    I don't really get s*** for loving her but not many people talk about her. Christine Taylor
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 10:15 PM) Timo might be the worst player in MLB history You coulda just stopped right there
  11. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 10:12 PM) Angelo isnt the guy who finds these dudes in the late rounds. It's Greg Gabriel, our director of college scouting (he's my nomination for new GM at the end of the season). Ya Angelo really doesn't do anything :rolly
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 10:11 PM) Thank you Tampa! Indians lose. Overall, it was a beneficial day for the Sox. 35
  13. BMac, Haeger, Rodriguez all throw shutouts

    Celebrity Crush

    QUOTE(WSFAN35 @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 07:19 PM) I'm pretty sure thats not a crush that you get ripped for...
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 08:52 PM) I'm not saying you're wrong, but lets wait until one of them actually contributes a thing at the MLB level. It's way too early to judge any of those guys. I'm not saying they are gonna be studs either but you could go through any team and bash their system based on busts...
  16. QUOTE(quickman @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 08:48 PM) listen, we could go tit for tat all night, let me know when the great Wes whisler or the great tyler Lumsden makes it. Or how about those terrific catching prospects we got last year. s*** those guys are great, and the great Kris Honel. The last 4 years or so we really don't have much nor do I see stud in the making and I am including Jeremy Reed who everyone thought was the next great thing. No thanks, by the way Mcarthy will be a 4 or 5 not an ace. Come back to me in two years. We will see how everything turns out. The lotto has odds about the same as these guys making it big in the pros. Oh by the way Crede blows too. Remember he was going to be our all star third baseman. The next Bill Melton. I just love how we developed those great shortstops the past 10 years, and the great second baseman, since Durham. You would think by accident we could have found a catcher. But no. and this draft holy s***, this draft really knocked my socks off.We will contin ue this conversation in a couple of years. Why must you mention everyone that isn't work out? Not Young, Sweeney, Anderson, Gio, Haigwood, Owens, BMac, Liotta, Valido, Haeger, Rogo, and Tracey?
  17. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 08:42 PM) But he walks, too. 3 times up, 3 walks tonight for Chris. Not that anyone cares
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 08:40 PM) Doesn't Chris Young strikeout a lot also? Yes, but he walks a solid amount too and still hit's around .280
  19. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 08:34 PM) But he has posted on this board, so he should be on the team. Ya, it has nothing to do with insane numbers.
  20. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 08:32 PM) Sadly, he's the only guy with any speed on the bench. And he's a mediocre base stealer. Oh Shiny One, besides speed what do you bring to the table?
  21. QUOTE(quickman @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 08:32 PM) then baseball talent sucks cause our minor league system blows. Really? How closely do you follow them, just out curiosity?
  22. QUOTE(quickman @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 08:24 PM) neither do I, our minors suck. It's in the upper half
  23. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 08:14 PM) Our pitching is overrated. Oh for the love of God I've heard it all now.
