QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 1, 2005 -> 01:01 PM) Any word who Coppenwrath is going to camp with? Celtics
-
Ok it's real simple. We got rid of Carlos over Konerko because you can get a fast motherf***er to play LF and not 1B. How's that?

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jul 1, 2005 -> 11:02 AM) The reason Brendan Donnely and Kevin Millar don't appear in the game is due to the fact they were scabs during the strike of the mid-90's. I would assume they are not part of the MLBPA, therefore negating all chances of them being in the game. I think they are all numbered 86.

Freddy Garcia>Chris Young Ok, well actually it's real real close and they are similar as hell. But Freddy gets a slight edge. Now Tito, etc need to realize this. Assuming 12 pitchers go. 12 pitchers 1. Roy Halladay 2. Mark Buehrle 3. Jon Garland 4. Matt Clement 5. Bartolo Colon 6. Johan Santana 7. Mariano Rivera 8. B.J. Ryan 9. 10. 11. 12. Those are 6 I can confidently say are locks. Any suggestiosn for locks?

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 1, 2005 -> 12:25 AM) Since when is the AS game anything but a joke? Quiet you.
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 1, 2005 -> 12:21 AM) I don't think that matters. Remember this is all IMO. I could be totally wrong (this would be the first time) I just think he gets in despite the numbers. Haha. Anyway - gotcha. But really the disparity in numbers is ridiculous and it would be a joke if IRod made it over Jorge.

Who Is The Best Sox Player This Year?

WILLIE -
I guarantee someone with worse numbers than Garcia makes it.
-
Apparently no room for him in rookie ball?

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 07:36 PM) Haha, I saw that. I'm glad to see Shingo getting back in form too; it's hard not root for that guy. I AM SHINGO!!! *hugs KW* Anyway. I had a lot of confidence in Shingo, quickly lost it, slowly bur surely I am starting to trust him. In 6.2 June innings Shingo has posted a 1.35 ERA.

QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 07:34 PM) I'm pretty sure we haven't swept Cleveland. After checking, it is kind of funny to note that all three of our 8-game win streaks have included a sweep of the good old Royals. Whenever we are down we can just go sweep our b****es, KC.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 07:19 PM) What is with the servings of food here? Yeesh. I'd gain more than 20 pounds in a couple of months over here. Love the Steaks and buying in bulk though. 6 packets of Pringles for $4!!??? They cost $3 per packet down under. You got a suitcase you can fill? I suggest stocking.

The Gigantic all encompassing TRADE THREAD
WHarris1 replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(wilmot825 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 07:14 PM) Rumors are that the White Sox are willing to deal Brandon McCarthy and a player to be named later for Florida's A.J. Burnett. The flame-throwing young talent in Florida could be a good fit in the Chi-town. But, I'm still not thrilled on giving away BMac. You heard this rumor where? -

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 06:48 PM) Uuuum, are you sure about that? Yes he is very very sure. Career ERA+ of 101 is just a hair over medicore and medicore=good for 5th starter. -

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 06:47 PM) Even less impressive then. Daigle was tearing it up in Single A at 25 years of age? Meh. ^^^ Exactly. But if he does well to finish the year in AAA he could become a prospect. -
Alright this doesn't deserve it's own thread so I'm putting it here. When the hell is Brooks gonna debut?

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 06:40 PM) In AA and at age 25. We shall see how he does in AAA. He has never been this good in his minor league career... http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/leo_daigle.shtml He was actually in A before getting promoted to Charlotte yesterday. -
QUOTE(dasox24 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 05:57 PM) I still believe that Mario Austin can make an impact on an NBA team, hopefully with us. Even though he's taller, Reiner has no business holding a roster spot over Austin this year.

QUOTE(dasox24 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 05:36 PM) WHarris, you should be happy b/c according to the Tribune, Basden has officially signed with the Bulls. He's a great player. Living in a city with a C-USA team, I get plenty of C-USA coverage, and have seen and heard about him quite a bit. And, for y'all that don't know much about him, he was the C-USA player of the year in a league with 2 1st round draft picks: Francisco Garcia and Jason Maxiell. I love him because he plays tenacious D from what I read/hear/see
-
YESSSSSSSSSS WE GOT BASDEN Eddie Basden Quinnel Brown Dawid Przybyszewski Omar Thomas Kelvin Torbert Are unsigned guys that are on the mini-camp roster. EDIT: The Bulls will hold a 4-day mini camp and will cut that down to their Vegas Summer League Roster.

I would just like to add... I guarantee there will be pitchers chosen to the All-Star team with worse numbers than Garcia.
