Quality win tonight for the 5th best team in the state. Vandy is a good team and Illinois really controlled the entire game. Mccamey was great, along with Richardson and Tisadale -

QUOTE (hitlesswonder @ Dec 5, 2009 -> 06:24 PM) Not any team -- just the University of Illinois. But then again, UI is only the fifth best team in the state, so it's not saying much. Laughable. -

QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 30, 2009 -> 02:07 AM) Is your internet passworded? Sounds like someone is glomming onto your wireless. No password, the network is in a house being used by probably 20 people or more.

Got a problem for any tech savvy folks out there. Using a new MacBook Pro, trying to connect to a network that I previously used with my old Macbook. This is the first time I am trying to connect using the new computer. I try to connect to the network and a message pops up saying something to the effect of: Another device on the network is using your computers IP address (192.168.0.232). I solve this issue by changing the setting from 'Using DHCP' to 'Using DHCP with manual address' and just set it to a random number (192.168.205). Now the internet works with this manual IP. So I am happy with that but I kind of am curious about why it wouldn't work previously simply using DHCP. Or how would a device on the network be using the same randomly assigned IP address.

QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 26, 2009 -> 12:59 AM) I'm not referring to Wall's dunk at the end of the game. The whole game, he was posing after baskets and flexing, etc. Fair enough, I thought you were mostly referring to the end of the game which I thought was pretty standard. I understand what you are saying though, definitely gets ridiculous at times. -

QUOTE (Capn12 @ Nov 19, 2009 -> 11:12 PM) All the talk keeps going to Kentucky, and yet here I am, I haven't seen them play a dominant game. I think they will lose more games in the conference than some may think. Of course, it helps that my team is a dog in said SEC conference. Well they have played three games and they are a team chalk full of freshman. Obviously there is going to be a long adjustment period but come February and March they have the ability to be as dangerous as anyone. Tonight 60% of their total minutes went to freshman. In the Miami OH game, again 60% of the minutes went to players new to the team. I agree with your point that they may drop some games that they shouldn't but that is to be expected with so many young/new players. Could they be blowing these teams out? Of course. But it's tough to evaluate their team based simply on the fact that they haven't blown out sub-par teams. Most of these guys just completed their third college game. Or in the case of John Wall, second. And I am no Kentucky fan, just FWIW. -

QUOTE (danman31 @ Nov 18, 2009 -> 06:33 PM) Ireland gets screwed in OT. Henry handled the ball (more like palmed) and no call directly leading to the goal. Shocking that Ireland got screwed by the refs there, completely shocking. Unbelievable. For something like that to determine which team stays home and which team goes to the biggest tournament in the world. Absolutely disgraceful. Bulls*** move by Henry, f***ing pitiful. -

Something is being overlooked. Since when the f*** does physicality of big men directly equate to quality of team? It's pretty obvious Illinois isn't a team with bruising big men. However Davis and Tisdale, while not physical, are far better than the big men ISU can trot out there. But I guess since they aren't physical then Illinois is vulnerable against ISU. Got it. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 10, 2009 -> 09:35 PM) Honestly, could you call a timeout, catch, and shoot in 0.6 seconds? I couldn't. Well a timeout is instantly called when he gains possession of the rebound, and technically you can catch and shoot in .3, so why not? -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 08:34 AM) Is there an award to be the first person to condemn a player as worthless that I don't know about? The guy hasn't even seen a spring with us, and he is already getting thrown off of a cliff? Geesh. Its not like the rest of the team is hitting worth a s*** anyway. No frickin kidding.
