I find it hard to believe most HS don't have consumer education classes (where you learn how to invest and buy a hose) auto shop classes (where you learn how to fix a car) or home economics classes (where you learn how to cook). Mine had all 3.

I have to imagine that this the image that Greg got in his head as soon as he read these articles.

Hard to believe the restaurant would agree to something like that. https://kyma.com/news/local-news/2021/09/16/eyewitness-to-viral-drive-thru-incident-in-foothills-speaks-out/ Here's the trailer afterwards:

This guy really, really wanted a Blizzard.

They played the first episode without Joe last night. They had Eric Andre in as a special guest but only for the final punishment. I figured they would just have a different celebrity come in for every episode so they always have 4 guys but apparently not. The episodes with Joey Fatone are really good too.

How this that possible? They've been on for years and play marathons of the show pretty much daily on TBS. Also, watch the old episodes when Joe was still with them. They are indeed hilarious.
-
They are still around. Just barely though.

It looked interesting but I wish they'd quit putting all these shows on these streaming services that I don't feel like paying for. I watched the first season of the new Saved By the Bell show on a free preview but that's about it. I pay for Netflix and my daughter pays for Disney+ but I don't want to have to add a dozen other services.

That's actually a sequel and not a re-boot right? I remember watching the original when I was a teenager and couldn't quite follow the story line for some reason.

Thanks. I figured someone here might know. I had no clue.

Pfft... Newbs.

I'm pretty sure everyone here has been saying that all along.

Oh, I agree with you. In fact, it probably was taught to me. I knew I should be saving/investing money. Even when I got a "real" job they always talked about putting money into my retirement plan every year. I just didn't have any.

I had 2 kids and a house by the time I was 21. I didn't have any extra money at that point in my life.

It's something people that graduated in the 90's had to learn to use.

This feels like one of those Facebook posts where everyone complains about all the stuff they did learn/teach in HS but they either didn't pay attention or just forgot. Things like balancing a checkbook, doing taxes, filling out job applications, buying a house, applying for a loan, maintaining a car, etc... I learned, or at least was taught, *all* this stuff in HS. Some stuff I learned outside of an actual classroom but I was still HS age. Some stuff I knew the basics of but didn't really "get it" until I had to go through it a few times.

Started watching Archive 81 on Netflix the other day and I'm really enjoying it. I'm infatuated with the main female character.

Change doesn't happen that fast. Except for the price, college is pretty much the same now as it was 18 years ago. Or 32 years ago. Or probably 100 years ago... Remember when we all watched the Jetsons or Back to the Future and thought we'd have robot maids or flying cars by now? LOL

Only vaguely on this subject, my wife's mom passed away in November. They haven't started going through the house yet but she has a lot of "stuff". Mostly a lot of boxes stacked up. One thing she does have is a complete collection of Danielle Steele novels. All hardcovers at that. Probably paid $20+ for some of them new. Looking up prices on Ebay, they'll be lucky to get 1 or 2 dollars a piece for them. Books are weird like that.

My wife and I watched that when it was actually on TV. It started out good but did have it's ups and downs. Sometimes it was a struggle to get through and I think they started running out of ideas. The finale was pretty good though.

I've actually fallen behind on my book reading. I've got at least 3 or 4 new books sitting on my shelves that I haven't even started on yet. Just got "Will" (Will Smith's autobiography) for Christmas. Have had Stephen King's "Billy Summers" on my shelves for a couple of months now. I also picked up "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" this past summer.
