  1. Welp. Now we get the AAA lineups for the doubleheader.
  2. Pretty good Sox Machine piece on Sosa this season. Lots of comments from Getz, and Sosa himself. https://soxmachine.com/futuresox/lenyn-sosa-is-breaking-out-in-birmingham-while-reining-it-in/
  3. I personally think he should be higher, but I'm just a random guy that watches too much MILB TV.
  4. Jose Rodriguez should finish 3 - 3 with 2 BBs. Lenyn Sosa just lined a bases loaded double. He's 3 - 6 with 5 RBIs.
  5. Oh. Yolbert is 2-4 tonight with a HR. Fun.
  6. The control waffled that innning for Burke. A walk, HR, and another strikeout.
  7. J-Rod now 3-3. Doubles over the center fielder's head. He's then scored by Lenyn Sosa on a line drive single. Now 2-3 on the night.
  8. Burke strikes out three in the 4th. Up to 7 now. Some pretty curveballs and sliders that inning.
  9. Jose Rodriguez is now 2 for 2, but is inexplicably thrown out at first when the ball is returned to the IF after straying too far off first base. Sosa 1 - 2. Burke looks good. Weak contact and and strikeouts.
  10. Law agrees and has them going with Berry in his mock today. https://theathletic.com/3317893/2022/05/19/mlb-mock-draft-jacob-berry/
  11. New Mayo mock. Has Holliday going 1.1 https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-mock-draft-2022-jackson-holliday-druw-jones?t=mlb-pipeline-coverage
  12. Birmingham sure has some rough pitching outside of Burke.
  13. That fact that he's projectable and should add velocity to the fastball as he fills out is super tantilizing. While it's not a bad pitch, he's not blowing people away with the fastball as it stands. It's mainly the secondaries and the pitch mix.
  14. Mena done for the day. So good. 6.0 IP 5 H 0 ER 0 BB 8 SO.
  15. He's definitely throwing the changeup a lot more today. Probably working on it? Past outings he was getting away with just overwhelming everyone with the breaking pitch. 7 SO through 5.0 IP. 62 pitches thrown.
  16. Colson with a line drive single in his second AB. 2-2.
  17. Mena has also picked off two baserunners this game now.
  18. Mena 4Ks through 2.0 IP. Seeing the changeup more often than we have in the past.
  19. Pulled a breaking ball on a full count for the homer. 93 MPH EV. 367 feet.
  20. Colson HR! I need to rewind since he decided to hit it during my only morning meeting. ?
